Anatomy[]

The Zeti are humanoid in terms of overall physical appearance, but possess some unique key features. Common physical characteristics Zeti share are five fingers with claw-like nails, two-toed feet with a claw-like appendage on each of their toes and heels, and tails. Each Zeti also possesses a number of striped horns on their head, with the number of the horns differing between each individual, though two appears to be the most common. The average height for a Zeti is about 118 centimeters (or roughly 3'10").

The skin color of the Zeti comes in vastly different varieties, which has been seen so far to be red, neon pink, yellow, blue, green-yellow, and white. They also possess equally distinct hair colors, which can range from between sky blue, purple, and green, though it can turn gray from aging. Common color characteristics Zeti share are black hips and legs, and yellow sclerae.

The individual Zeti can have their own unique physical proportions and features; Zavok is muscular and bulky with a fairly standard humanoid shape, Zazz is very lanky and thin, and Master Zik's head and body come together in an indistinguishable spherical shape. Additionally, the Zeti's tails and horns can come in different sizes and shapes as well, and Zeti like Zavok and Zazz can have spikes on their bodies.

Characteristics and culture[]

The Zeti are a sinister and scary race. If the Deadly Six are representative of the Zeti race as a whole, it appears that the Zeti are an extremely malevolent and violent race of beings.[2] Zavok claims that conquering is “the Zeti way” and that protecting others and rebuilding is not their way.[3] Inherently malicious by nature, they find enjoyment and pride in performing hideous acts of violence, to the extent of destroying the occupants of entire planets without the slightest pangs of remorse for their atrocities. The only beings that Zeti do not seem to enjoy destroying are their own kind. They also appear to be quite vengeful, as they all retained their hate for Dr. Eggman and Sonic the Hedgehog following their defeat by the latter.[2]

Almost nothing of Zeti culture is known. In fact, the only Zeti culture implied is the apparent custom of naming with the first letter "Z," as every member of the Deadly Six has a name beginning with said letter.

Powers and abilities[]

ZavokControlsMetal

Zavok takes control of Metal Sonic, from Sonic the Hedgehog #25.

All Zeti possess an innate ability to manipulate magnetic fields, which allows them to control electronics. This ability allows them to take control of robots and other kinds of machinery.[4] However, this power has no effect on structures that have no electronic components.[5]

In terms of physical abilities, the Zeti are a very powerful race, possessing superhuman strength, durability, speed, and agility.[6][7] They are also able to harness Chaos Emerald energy in order to empower themselves.[8] Additionally, some Zeti have demonstrated abilities unique to themselves: Zavok can shoot fireballs and lasers and enlarge his size;[7] Zeena can create energy tethers;[6] Zomom can consume unlimited amounts of food and burrow through the ground;[1][6] and Zor can create shadowy clones of himself.[7]

The Zeti are also shown to have very long life spans, which can be over a thousand years of age. Even when over a century old, a Zeti's appearance is that of a young adult.

All Zeti are susceptible to the sounds from a Cacophonic Conch. When the Zeti hear a Cacophonic Conch's sound, their powers are inhibited; however, its effect is very excruciating to the Zeti, causing them great pain when they hear its sounds.[4][8]

History[]

Past[]

After discovering the Lost Hex, Dr. Eggman took control of a group of native Zeti known as the Deadly Six with the Cacophonic Conch and used them as his enforcers. However, after Sonic accidentally liberated the Deadly Six, the group of Zeti rebelled and took control of Eggman's Badniks.[4] However, the Deadly Six were eventually defeated by Sonic.[2]

The Last Minute[]

While Zavok and Zor monitored the Eggnet from the Zeti Castle, Dr. Starline paid them a visit, asking Zavok for his group's help to contain Eggman's current control issues with the Zombots. In return the, Zeti would make amends with Dr. Eggman, obtain immense power, and destroy Sonic. Zavok agreed to the deal, but as soon as Starline had left, he had made a plan to turn on him.[9] Gathering the Deadly Six, Zavok revealed that he intended to use the opportunity Starline had given them to punish Eggman for humiliating the Deadly Six, destroy Sonic for defeating them, and destroy the world in retribution with the Zombots.[2][10] Eventually, Starline returned to the Zeti, convinced that their abilities were needed to control the Zombots. Giving Starline a demonstration of the Zeti's electromagnetic powers, all Zavok and the Deadly Six had to do were wait for Starline to bring them to Sonic's world in order to get their revenge.[10] Not long after, the Deadly Six were brought to the Faceship.[11]

All or Nothing[]

Onboard the Faceship, Dr. Starline tried to keep the Deadly Six in line with the Cacophonic Conch when they tried to attack Dr. Eggman. However, Zazz and Zeena snatched the conch when Starline ran out of breath. When Zavok then turned Metal Sonic against them, the doctors fled through a Warp Topaz portal. Shifting their priorities, the Deadly Six each took one of the seven Chaos Emeralds onboard the Faceship to increase their power, allowing them to command thousands of Zombots at once. The Deadly Six then split up, departing for different corners of the world in order to use the Zombots to spread the Metal Virus everywhere, thereby depriving Sonic and Eggman of the world they have sought to protect or conquer, before planning to grant them a slow end at the hands of the Zombots. Zazz went to Riverside and caused unwarton destruction; Zomom went to Vista View and had the villagers give him food or be fed to the Zombots; Zor went to Orchardville and hunted down survivors: Zeena went to Sunset City and forced the Zombots and survivors into servitude; Master Zik went to Winterburg to lead an army of Zombots; and Zavok continued to command his Zombots from the Faceship.[8]

Going on the hunt for Eggman, Zavok eventually discovered Angel Island and began heading the Faceship there. Meanwhile, the other Deadly Six came under attack by people seeking the Chaos Emeralds. Zeena faced Cream and Gemerl; Zomom encountered Tails and Amy; Zazz discovered Espio sneaking up on him; Zor came under attack by Silver and Whisper; and Master Zik was attacked by the Babylon Rogues.[1] One by one, Zazz, Zomom, Master Zik, Zeena, and Zor lost their Chaos Emeralds, leaving them at the mercy of the Zombot hordes.[6][7] In the meantime, Zavok found Angel Island, along with Sonic, Eggman and their allies.[6] However, the Faceship he was onboard on crashed when Rouge stole the Chaos Emerald powering it. Surviving the crash, Zavok became Giant Zavok and assaulted Angel Island with Zombots.[7] Eventually, Sonic, Metal Sonic and Silver came after Zavok for the final Chaos Emerald. Though Zavok put up a good fight, he lost his Chaos Emerald, and Sonic and Silver used it together with the rest to become Super Sonic and Super Silver. Zavok was then beat into summision by Super Sonic, who proceeded to eradicate the Metal Virus with Super Silver's aid.[12]

Out of the Blue[]

Recovering from his beating, Zavok refused to give up. However, he ended up being restrained by Sonic's allies.[13] Afterward, Zavok was locked up in Everhold Prison while the other Deadly Six went into hiding.[13][14]

Bad Guys[]

After a while, Zavok met Dr. Starline again when the latter infiltrated Everhold Prison. There, after recruiting Rough, Tumble and Mimic, Starline offered to let Zavok out and serve him. Knowing Starline was up to something, but that he could use this to his advantage, Zavok accepted Starline's offer. Together with his new warriors, Zavok broke out of Everhold Prison.[5]
