Yuji Uekawa is a character designer at Sega and works for Sonic Team. The first Sonic game he worked on was Sonic R as the character designer, and he redesigned Sonic and all the other characters in the series for Sonic Adventure in 1998. He also designed most of the original Sonic X characters.
