Yuji Uekawa (上川 祐司 Uekawa Yuji?) is an artist at Sega and a member of Sonic Team. He is well known for his redesigns of Sonic the Hedgehog, Doctor Eggman, and other returning characters for the series since Sonic Adventure.[1][2]

His first work on the series was Sonic R as the character designer, as well as creating the 2D character artwork used for the Sonic games in the early 2000's and wallpapers on Sonic Channel. He also designed many of the original characters in Sonic X and the games since Sonic R.
