Based on hermit crabs, the Yadokks are Badniks with orange claws, a green pointy shell, and wheels on their bottom which they use to move around. The Yadokks can also use their green pointy shell as a weapon against their foes as well.
Overview[]
The Yadokks make their only appearance in Sonic Advance 3, where they exclusively appear in Twinkle Snow. In gameplay, the Yadokks move back and forward on the ground, but when the playable character approaches them however, they will launch their spiky shells directly upward in an attempt to hit the playable character while they jump. After firing their shells however, the Yadokks will be defenseless against any of the playable character's attacks, making them easy to defeat. Like every Badnik in the game, the Yadokks drop a Ring upon being destroyed.
Yadokk's name is a corruption of yadokari, meaning hermit crab in Japanese.
Yadokks behave similarly to the Turbo Spikers from Sonic the Hedgehog 3, as they are both based on hermit crabs, have spiky shells, and launch them off when the player jumps.
Turbo Spikers are also called Yadrin Jets in Japan, alluding to this resemblance.
