The Wing Fortress is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It was a large, aerial vessel built by Dr. Eggman and piloted by Dr. Snively.

History

Dr. Eggman built the Wing Fortress as a mode of transport for the supplies that he and his assistant, Dr. Julian Snively, owned in Metropolis Zone in order for them to be carried to the Death Egg by the latter. However, Sonic the Hedgehog managed to infiltrate the fortress, defeat Snively and force him to leave the vessel behind. As the Wing Fortress fell apart, Sonic followed Snively to the Death Egg.

• The Wing Fortress is based on the Wing Fortress Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
