The Whirlwind Wallop is an Item Box power-up that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Trap Item used primarily to obstruct opposing rivals' path.

Description[]

The Whirlwind Wallop's icon takes Paladin Amy's hammer is erecting, which spin that makes cream-color waves energy.

Overview[]

In gameplay, the Whirlwind Wallop can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by Paladin Amy. As with most other Items, Metal Sonic can also use the Whirlwind Wallop if he uses the Steal Item to steal it from the aforementioned user.

Once obtained, the player can utilize the Whirlwind Wallop by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. When used, the Whirlwind Wallop slash around themselves that can damage rival characters adjacent to them. Then, travel down the lane it was deployed on in front of the user. As it moves forward, the Whirlwind Wallop will pass through any obstacle. After traveling down its lane for about one second though, the mighty wave will stop up and assume a stationary position. The time it stays still damage rivals as well. Rival characters who contact with the slash or mighty wave will be left floating helplessly in the air temporarily while slowing down momentarily and also lose Rings. In addition, rival characters affected by Whirlwind Wallop will have their lost Rings transferred to the user of the Whirlwind Wallop. To avoid the Whirlwind Wallop, the playable character must either jump over or step out its lane.

The Whirlwind Wallop can also be upgraded by leveling the user up to level 4, 10 and 16 respectively. At level 4, the Whirlwind Wallop that the user collect an Item Box will increases chance for two of it. At level 10 and 16, the Whirlwind Wallop will causing more damage.
