The Whirl Attack[1] is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a maneuver triggered by fan tiles in Rusty Ruin Zone where the user spins around like a top.
Description[]
Whem performing the Whirl Attack, the user sticks one of their feet downwards while on a fan tile, and spins on it, causing them to spin around like a top.
In the gameplay of Sonic 3D Blast, the Whirl Attack allows Sonic to spin around, although he becomes harder to control than when running. Any enemy that Sonic comes in contact whith while using the Whirl Attack will be destroyed. Using the Whirl attack also allows the player to destroy any small pillars and breakable walls they touch while spinning. Any normal walls Sonic comes in contact with while performing the Whirl Attack will cause him to bounce off slightly. Additionally, the Whirl Attack can be cancelled at any moment by using the Spin Jump, or when suffering damage.
To perform the Whirl Attack in gameplay, the player has to stand on one of the fan floor tiles in Rusty Ruin Zone.
