Gwendolyn "Wendy" Whipple[13] is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog film series produced by Paramount Pictures and its spin-offs.

In "Don't Ever Say I Wasn't There for You", Wendy opens her door to find her son, Wade, only to end up fainting.
In "The Shabbat Dinner", Wendy greets her son after not seeing him for over two years as her daughter, Wanda, came to the door before Knuckles the Echidna showed up and introduced himself, only for her to end up fainting. Later, she regained consciousness, but has difficulty pronouncing Knuckles' name correctly, due to her accent. As an apology for fainting, Wendy invites Knuckles to a Shabbat Dinner. However, during the dinner, Wade and Wanda, as per every Shabbat Dinner, end up arguing with Wanda stabbing Wade with her fork before he stormed off to his room and Wendy ends up finding herself alone with Knuckles when Wanda walked away herself. Later, Wendy and Knuckles watch Pretty Woman on the TV. When bounty hunters arrived to collect the bounty on Wade's head, Wendy, armed with two frying pans, along with Knuckles, take down to last two bounty hunters, neglecting any damage done to the kitchen, until the last bounty hunter was nearly landing on top of some Sabbat candles, only to be prevented by Wade before Wendy, Wade, Wanda, and Knuckles watch them extinguish, Wendy happy to have her kids around and reconciling.
In "The Flames of Disaster", Wendy, along with Knuckles and Wanda, watch Wade return, having been captured by Jack Sinclair before defeating and humiliating the latter, on Jack's bike along with his hat and jacket, but stops on the grass, which Wendy told him to get off it. Later, Wendy and Wanda accompany Knuckles and Wade to Reno.

Wendy is shown to be kind-hearted as she invited Knuckles to a Sabbat Dinner and apologizes for fainting when she first saw him.
She has deep feelings for her children's welfare as she cannot stand them arguing or Wanda bullying Wade, but is too emotional to stop it.
She is also pretty serious.
