Bonds of Friendship[]

Wave and the other Babylon Rogues eventually broke into the Mineral Museum in Spiral Hill Village in the middle of the day. Upon their arrival, Jet wasted no time and instructed Wave and Storm to grab as many of the museum's exhibitions as possible. Wave managed to steal several gemstones before she and her teammates retreated back to the blimp. Inside their headquarters, Wave shared her enthusiasm over their haul. When Storm then tried to show them a huge gem he had gotten, Wave and Jet discovered that what Storm had actually grabbed was the curator of the museum, Jewel the Beetle. Soon after, Tangle and Whisper arrived, demanding Jewel be handed back. Jet denied, however, and told the girls that they could only get Jewel back if they had a race. This made Wave scold Jet for his behavior, as they were thieves, not kidnappers. Jet argued, however, that they could not just give up Jewel after Storm made them look incompetent. Soon though, Jet grew tired of arguing and asked for Storm to throw everyone out. When Storm complied by throwing Jewel out of the blimp however, things only got worse. As Wave then began complaining about having to save Jewel now, Tangle stopped Wave and her gang, as she and Whisper had it under control. After Wave and her gang then received a threat from Tangle about not coming to her village again, Tangle leapt out of the blimp with the stolen goods, angering Jet. Wave, however, told him to let them go as today was a hassle.[1]

All or Nothing[]

The Babylon Rogues discuss Sonic's proposal, from Sonic the Hedgehog #25.

The Babylon Rogues were later contacted by Amy Rose to meet her and a group of survivors from the Metal Virus on Angel Island. There, they were told that they were needed to help steal the Chaos Emeralds from a group called the Deadly Six. Jet showed little care to help Sonic and his allies unless the reward was big enough. Even when Wave pointed out that they still needed the world's resources, Jet felt as if they could figure it out on their own without having to become "goodie-goodies"; Storm backed Jet up on his stance but noted that he liked to eat. Sonic managed to appeal to the Babylon Rogues once he told Jet that he needed his help and the world needed the "Legendary Wind Master".[2]

Wave and her crew witnessed Eggman and Tails build a Multi-Portal Generator with the Warp Topaz that would take everyone where they need to go an instant. Sonic returned from his run and had come up with a plan for who should be assigned with who and what Zeti they should go after. He told the Babylon Rogues that they were to take on Master Zik, and though he was old, he was craftier than all of the Deadly Six combined. Despite this, the team were confident that they could take him on easily. Once Tails and Eggman set the coordinates for everyone to move out, Wave and her team went through the Warp Portal to Winterburg. The Babylon Rogues immediately tried to get the jump on Master Zik, but the Zeti used his powers to take over their Extreme Gear and knock them off. After jumping onto Jet's board, the hawk is immediately angered. When noting that they were surrounded by Zombots, Jet taunted Master Zik by asking if he could not fight on his own. Master Zik told them that he retired from the battlefield long ago but would not mind teaching the Rogues a few lessons. Wave and her crew jumped at Master Zik; she and Storm were hit by their own boards. The pair soon found themselves surrounded by Zombots.[3]

Wave fended off the Zombots with her wrench; she then told Jet to leave before it was too late but also berated him as she told him earlier that a full frontal assault was a bad idea. Soon, Jet managed to knock Master Zik downward to Storm, who punched him overhead. Wave swiftly used her wrench to grab the Chaos Emerald off of him. Defeated and defenseless, Master Zik was soon grabbed by Zombots while he told Jet that he was not tactical or skillful, but lucky. Wave gave the Chaos Emerald to Jet telling him to leave without her and Storm as her board was lost to the Zombots and Storm's was nearly smashed to pieces. Jet instead tied the Emerald to his board and sent it through the Warp Portal. As he readied himself to fight with his teammates, Jet told them that like he told the Zeti, the Babylon Rogues do not lose. According to him, Sonic will get the Emerald and do his hero thing, but they will show the Zombots a real challenge in the meantime.[4]

Out of the Blue[]

After Super Sonic and Super Silver had reversed the effects of the Metal Virus all around the world, the Zombots were no more and were cured. Storm gleefully hugged his teammates, happy that they were not infected. The group noted Master Zik has disappeared before Wave commended Jet on sticking with her and Storm to fight instead of go directly to Angel Island himself. Jet was initially taken aback by the kind words, only to swiftly descend into boasting, which Wave was exasperated by but Storm encouraged.[5] Some time later, the Babylon Rogues were invited by Tangle to a party in Spiral Hill Village. Wave and Storm enjoyed their food and the show. Suddenly, the group was alerted to a large crash in the town, revealed to be Eggman in a large mech, who had come to destroy them all.[6] As Wave asked Jet what their group should do, the latter replied that they would rob the Mineral Museum while the others were busy dealing with Eggman. However, when they arrived in the museum, they discovered Rouge had already acquired the museum's exhibits.[7]

Endless Summer[]

Wave suggests a beach tournament, from Sonic the Hedgehog: Endless Summer.

Wave went with the Babylon Rogues one day to Green Hill for a day at the beach. When they arrived, they argued about where to place their equipment. She soon overheard Sonic and Jewel watching them from a hill. Wave and the Rogues came face-to-face with them on the hill, with Tangle and Whisper standing with Sonic and Jewel. Wave told Sonic's group to stay on their side while the Babylon Rogues stay on theirs, but Jet objected, saying Sonic would ruin their "vibe". Tangle, Jewel, and Whisper recalled their past encounters with the Rogues, and Tangle bluntly told them to get off the beach. Wave proposed that they settle the matter with some beach games, with the winning team being the one that gets to stay.

The first round was Disc Catch, which was won by Team Sonic. The second round, Swim Relay, was won by the Babylon Rogues. Team Sonic won the Sand Sculpting round, while the Rogues won at Surfing. The final round was a game of volleyball. Towards the end of the game, Sonic gave a pep talk to his team and they set a plan in motion to win. The plan involved isolating Jet and exploiting his ego by keeping Wave and Storm away from the net, thus making Jet feel left out, and then creating a false opening for him, allowing Team Sonic to score. With the last point being scored by Jewel, the game was won by Team Sonic. While they cheered and celebrated, Jewel noticed the Babylon Rogues leaving and began to feel bad. She decided to let them stay and the three teams enjoyed the rest of the day at the beach eating marshmallows over a campfire.[8]

Sonic's 900th Adventure[]

Wave and the Babylon Rogues chasing Sonic for the Warp Topaz, from Sonic the Hedgehog's 900th Adventure.

The Babylon Rogues intercepted a transmission from Tails that mentioned Sonic getting rid of the Warp Topaz. They figured out where Sonic was headed and went into an abandoned mine. Wave was on his board with the other Rogues as Sonic came in. When Sonic refused to give them the Topaz, Wave and the others tried to grab him but failed. They followed Sonic to a dead end and saw Rouge and Shadow were there, which didn't phase Wave. Sonic then got away by drilling out of the mine and blocking his path with a portal. After Jet called Shadow a "wanna-be ultimate life form", Wave cowered with fear as the hedgehog prepared his Chaos Powers. Jet tried to get Wave or Storm to take him on, but Wave insisted he go first. The Rogues were then blasted through the portal and landed in a snowy mountain.[9]

Relic Robbing Rumble[]

Knuckles finds the Rogues stealing some statues in Marble Garden Zone. He flies in to take them out and Jet orders Storm to fight him. Shortly after the fight Knuckles gets back up and follows them, but the Rogues on their Extreme Gear manage to get away. Later that evening, the Babylon Rogues wait for the "guy" at a pier. Jet is getting impatient about him showing up, but Wave isn't having his bad mood. Storm plays with the relics, which Jet tells him to knock off. Wave asks if it is because of respecting cultural sensitivity, but Jet tells her it's because he doesn't want Storm to damage them, much to her disappointment. Jet says he would have shown more respect if they came from the Babylonians. Then Knuckles and the Chaotix attack the Rogues at the dock. Caught flat footed, Jet tells his cohorts to scatter. Jet and Wave fly up with their Extreme Gear Wave then boards above the water to find Jet, but Vector comes out of the water and bites onto the Type-W. Wave yells at him to get off her Extreme Gear until Jet is too wet to fight. They all make it back to the dock where Vector asks Jet who hired them to steal the relics. Storm then challenges Knuckles, but Wave and Jet pull him back.[10][11]

Phantom Riders[]

Wave teasing Tails while Amy defends him, from Sonic the Hedgehog #69.

The Babylon Rogues catch up to Sonic's team and after Wave then teases Tails over his extreme gear, Amy quickly defends him, telling Wave she would choose Tails' gear over hers any day. Storm attempts to threaten Amy, but the attempt quickly fails as Amy strikes fear into the albatross. Both Team Sonic and the Babylon Rogues continue to race through the streets until Jet tries to take a swipe at Sonic's gear. The two groups are interrupted by Lanolin fires a version of the variable wispon, noting that attacking another competitor is a violation to the rules.[12] In the second race Wave and the Babylon Rogues are in the lead until the Phantom Rider which Jet would go ahead and leave Wave and Storm behind. Soon Wave caught up and the Phantom Rider left which the Babylon Rogues get top 3, But Wave points out how the audience is not cheering for them but instead cheering for Surge and Kit for getting rid of the Phantom Rider frustrating Wave.[13]

Wave trying to calm down Jet as he gets frustrated with Surge's showboating, from Sonic the Hedgehog #71.

Surge would start the next race in Misty Spire showboating causing frustration in Jet until Wave reminds him to ignore her and look at the bigger picture. Another individual wearing nearly the exact same disguise as Sonic but riding a different Extreme Gear has appeared in the arena and soon Nite announces to stop the Phantom Rider when Surge, Kit, and the Babylon Rogues give chase, with Surge and Jet arguing over who will be the one to take down the Phantom Rider but Wave tells Jet to think happy thoughts. Soon a brawl would ensue and the Phantom Rider is revealed to be Sonic but before he could answer questions she is cut off by a rock separating him from the racers. Later, the Babylon Rogues discuss the new development over dinner, with Jet calling it an insult to racing and to himself. Storm suggests that Sonic might have been paid off, but Jet finds the idea ridiculous. Wave reminds the two that Sonic is always doing heroic things and stopping bad guys, bringing them to the realization that if Sonic is trying to stop the Clean Sweepstakes, then Clean Sweep Inc. must be at fault somehow. From this, Wave infers that the event is a scam being fronted as a charity event to profit off of the Restoration's good name. Furious that Sonic figured it out before he did, Jet announces to his team that they have a new mission. The Babylon Rogues also vow to find out who is behind the scam and get even with them.[14]

After a bolt of lightning strikes a car Storm arrives and catches it, and tells the other two Babylon Rogues to take care of the rest. Jet claims that his plan will get them back on top, to which Wave argues that it was her plan, and he knows it. Jet remarks that he gets the credit due to being the leader, and they begin making a path for the vehicles to follow through.[15]

The Babylon Rogues talk about how to approach the Phantom Rider and Wave reminds him to not be aggressive and Jet annoyingly agrees with Storm saying they brought no tracks. Soon after the race begins with Nite announcing it is set right in the streets of Central City when suddenly the Phantom Rider appears, and Jet immediately goes after him while Wave crashes trying to remind him to be gentle. Soon the Babylon Rogues surround him when Nite announces a halt in the race, saying that everyone is going after the Phantom Rider with him dodging attacks from Lanolin, Surge and Kit who Surge manages to grab on to his Eggstreme Gear while Whisper uses her Variable Wispon to fire. Jet then orders the Rogues to attack but are stopped by Kit's tails.[16] Wave grabs a nearby Omochao and ask what the broadcast was about and what's going on when Surge responds saying that Clutch got called out so he's taking the ship down with him with her further saying that he's being dramatic but if he wants to burn and crash, she won't stop him. The Babylon Rogues watch Sonic and the Diamond Cutters from below when Storm ask if the race is over and Wave response saying they should just go home but Jet declines saying that they want a race, and Sonic owes them answer and they too head off.[17]

The Babylon Rogues directing the citizens as they pull the shuttle to safety, from Sonic the Hedgehog #75.

The Babylon Rogues overlook the burning shuttle as it descends toward Central City, with Storm and Wave commenting on the direness of the situation. After a moment of thought, Jet orders his team to follow him, having come up with a better idea than following Sonic to the shuttle. Jet boasts to Sonic about his team's efforts as they continue to pull the shuttle away from the city. Sonic informs the Babylon Rogues of the change in plans, and Jet begrudgingly cooperates after being reminded by Wave that they do not have time to argue. At the sight of the destroyed HQ, Jet approaches Sonic and tells him that he is willing to concede to a tie on one condition: a rematch between the two with no distractions or conditions of any kind. Sonic accepts the challenge, eager to have some fun against his rival as the Rogues head home.[18]
