The Warp Wall[1] is a gimmick that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a mystical wall with the ability to teleport the user to different locations.

Description[]

Warp Walls are depicted as a large, rectangular area of a wall with ancient carvings that resemble those found in real-life Egyptian hieroglyphs.

Overview[]

DCDC11

Knuckles digging into a Warp Wall, from Sonic Adventure 2.

In Sonic Adventure 2 and its enhanced port Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, the Warp Holes can be found in all of Knuckles and Rouge's Treasure Hunting stages. In gameplay, they allow the player to instantly teleport to different locations or otherwise unreachable areas with hidden items when interacting with them, making them very useful for players when searching for Emerald Shards. To use them in gameplay, the player has to climb up on the surface of the Warp Wall and then Dig near the oval shape in the center.

Trivia[]

  • Warp Walls are very similar to Warp Holes, as they both transport the user into a different locations in the stage.
