The Wall Spin Dash,[1] also known as the boost[2] and the Spin Dash,[3] is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a parkour technique and a variant of the Spin Dash that is used for speeding up during a Wall Run or Wall Climb.

Description[]

When performing a Wall Spin Dash, the user Spin Dashes in place on a wall before speeding off into a Wall Run or Wall Climb.

In the Wii U version, Nintendo 3DS version and PC version of Sonic Lost World, the Wall Spin Dash is used by Sonic and Super Sonic. In the Wii U version, it is also used by the Virtual Hedgehogs. In gameplay, the Wall Spin Dash is used to gain a speed boost during the Wall Run and Wall Climb. The move can be used by pressing WiiU-Button-ZL (Wii U/PC version) or Snnwiidsxbuttondisco/Snnwiidsybuttondisco (Nintendo 3DS version). While the technique can only be performed once during a Wall Climb, there is no limit to how many times the player can Wall Spin Dash during a Wall Run.
