Not to be confused with the move Climb.

Dash towards a wall without stopping and Sonic will run up it.

— Australian instruction manual, Sonic Lost World (Wii U)

The Wall Climb[1] is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a parkour technique that allows the user to run up almost any wall.

Description[]

When performing the Wall Climb, the user runs up along a wall with gravity only affecting them in the long run, plain and simple.

In the Wii U version, Nintendo 3DS version and PC version of Sonic Lost World, the Wall Climb is used by Sonic and Super Sonic. In the Wii U version, it is also used by the Virtual Hedgehogs. To perform a Wall Climb in gameplay, the user must Dash to a wall in front of them without stopping.[1] If the player is slowing down or needs to go higher, they can use a Wall Spin Dash to boost their way upward. The user can also use the Wall Jump to leap to another nearby wall and continue Wall Climbing from it. Typically, walls colored black and white cannot be climbed on. In the 2D sections of the Wii U/PC version, the player can also press Snnwiidsxbuttondisco/Snnwiidsybuttondisco during a Wall Climb to grip on to the wall, slowing their descent.
