The Walker[note 1] is an enemy that appears in Sonic 3D Blast. It is a mass-produced, platform-based Badnik created by Dr. Robotnik.
Appearance
The Walkers resemble a fourfold-symmetric walking weapons platform.
Overview
Walkers are encountered exclusively in Panic Puppet Zone. In gameplay, they stroll back and forth along a straight diagonal, firing projectiles from any of their quad cannons.
These Badniks can easily be destroyed with a Spin Attack, Spin Dash or Spin Jump. Unlike the Badniks in the six previous Zones however, the Walkers do not contain Flickies that pop out of them upon their defeat, as Dr. Robotnik did not have enough time to the Flickies into the Walkers.[1]
Notes
- ↑ This Badnik was given no official name upon or after the release of Sonic 3D Blast. However, its name was revealed in the Debug Mode for the unofficial Sonic 3D Blast: Director's Cut video game developed by Jon Burton, the lead programmer of the Genesis version of Sonic 3D Blast. When asked about its validity, Burton confirmed that this Badnik's name was used in the original game.
