History

TV series

Past

At some point in the past at Gourmet Burger, Dave forgot to give Lord Eggman extra pickles with his meal. As punishment, he got thrown into the Village jail.[1]

Season two

When he got tricked out of his dimension during a drag race, Sonic ended up in the Village Center. Sonic however, believed this location to be his own despite the subtle differences. Sonic eventually had a confusing encounter with Amy Rose before meeting Lord Eggman. Mistaking this Eggman for his, Sonic mocked the overlord, which got him thrown into the Village jail. Fortunately, Amy would break Sonic (and Dave) out and take them to freedom.[1]
