Viaduct Valley is a track that appears in Sonic Forces: Speed Battle. It is unlocked in Tier 5, or upon reaching 1500 Trophies.

Description[]

Viaduct Valley is a hard-difficulty track based in the City, and contains grind rails, a large number of corkscrews, and Triple Dash Panels.

Gameplay[]

In Viaduct Valley, the playable characters are stuck running down the level's road and can only move left and right between the road's four lanes (akin to the Quick Step). While running, the player can pick up Rings or power-ups from Item Boxes and utilize the gimmicks native to this track. Rings and Item Boxes in particular respawn almost immediately after a playable character picks them up from the track.

Viaduct Valley has many environmental obstacles which the player can either jump over, roll under or move around. Running into one of these obstacles will result in the player taking damage and lose some of their Rings. Falling into bottomless pits on the other hand forces the player to restart from an earlier point on the track.

Overview[]

The racers begin on a long, flat area with Item Boxes placed under a fence just ahead. They will soon reach Grind Rails after avoiding obstacles, which will twist upward into a half-ground half-grind rail corkscrew. After going past additional obstacles, the player will reach the first set of Triple Dash Panels; this variety of Dash Panel grants a temporary boost of speed for each Dash Panel in the set that the player runs through uninterrupted. There are also obstacles in this section which must be either sidestepped or jumped over.

From here, there will be another set of Grind Rails, and then the path will temporarily split before reaching another set of Triple Dash Panels. Beyond this lies another split in the path, each leading to a grind rail corkscrew before entering a short multi-terrain section. Finally, the player will pass through one final Triple Dash Panel section before reaching the finish line.
