Vector the Crocodile is character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He is the alternate version of Vector the Crocodile from the In Another Time, In Another Place Zone. He is the leader of the Chaotix, a group of detectives.

Appearance[]

Vector is identical in appearance and wardrobe to his Prime Zone counterpart. As such, he is a large, green-skinned crocodile with spiky red scales down his tail and goldenrod-colored eyes. Vector sports a thick body that resembles an S-shape, with his broad upper body getting slimmer towards his tail and legs. By contrast, his arms start out thin and thicken closer to the wrist. His belly, snout and arms are light green, while the rest of his body is dark green.

For attire, Vector wears small, black shoulder pads, white gloves with black-and-orange cuffs, embellished with gold buckles as well as black shoes figured with white and orange colors. He also wears a gold chain around his neck, serving as his trademark accessory alongside his pair of black-and-gray wireless headphones, and the crocodile is rarely seen without one or the other. With the exception of his chain, Vector's complete attire is frequently shown to be made out of leather.

History[]

Sonic Generations[]

Vector would be among the attendees of a surprise birthday party thrown for Sonic the Hedgehog, in which his fellow Chaotix members also participated. Unfortunately, the guests were all then abducted by a mysterious monster that created a number of portals into which Vector and his friends were sucked into.[1]

Olympic Trials[]

Sometime after these events, Vector and his teammates participated in the Olympics, forming a rowing team. Dr. Eggman soon showed his villainous side, with their boat turning into a trap that captured the three heroes. Luckily, Sonic came to their aid, rescuing them and the other competitors after a lengthy competition with Metal Sonic.[2]
