The Vapor Condenser[1] is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by IDW Publishing. It was a weapon for Rough the Skunk designed by Dr. Eggman. However, it was destroyed during a battle with Sonic and Tails.

Description[]

Appearance[]

The Vapor Condenser is a gray metallic capsule with yellow vents on the side that can be worn on the back like a backpack. It also has a thick gray tube extending from the top and a wide gray nozzle.

Functionalities and trails[]

Surmised, the Vapor Condenser is able to fire powerful stink bombs. It does so by gathering Rough's natural musk in glass capsules until it assumes a liquid form, and then shoots said capsules as projectiles from its nozzle. The stench produced by those stink bombs are so potent that if one were to be dowsed in their liquid, they would be rendered completely incapacitated and cause lacrimation.[1]

History[]

Battle For Angel Island[]

In exchanged for bringing the amnesiac Dr. Eggman to Dr. Starline, Rough and Tumble were promised weapons of their own from Eggman to use to get revenge on Sonic. After getting his memory back and learning of Rough and Tumble's hatred for Sonic, Eggman gladly designed weapons for them, with Rough receiving the Vapor Condenser.[2]

Infection[]

Upon meeting Sonic and Tails in Windmill Village, Rough would use his Vapor Condenser against Sonic, and later Tails when the fox cub joined the fight. When Rough tried to shoot Tails with his Vapor Condenser however, the fox cub threw its projectile back at Rough with his own tails. With Rough incapacitated by the stench, Tails seized the Vapor Condenser and destroyed it.[1]
