City include the stages Ghost Town, Park Avenue, Sunset Heights and Enemy Territory.
Death Egg[]
The Death Egg is set to appear in Sonic Forces. Unlike in past games, its primary purpose was not to act as a superweapon (though Vector's horrified reaction upon learning about the Death Egg's return indicated that it nonetheless had a similar reputation), but was instead a prison facility where Eggman held Sonic after he had Infinite defeat him in battle. It was later destroyed after Sonic and the Avatar infiltrated the Spaceport to get schematics on the Death Egg, which was believed to be powered by the Phantom Ruby. However, this was revealed to be a dummy generator.

Mystic Jungle[]
Mystic Jungle include the stages Luminous Forest, Casino Forest, Aqua Road and Eggman's Facility.
Metropolis[]
Metropolis appears as a pristine white city filled with advanced technology. The mega city serves as the heart of the Eggman Empire.
Upon discovering that Metropolis was left mostly unguarded, Knuckles lead the Resistance in an all out assault against the city in "Operation Big Wave". However Eggman's top commander, Infinite, countered the attack using the power of the Phantom Ruby to warp the gravity of Metropolis and create numerous large warped clones of himself. The resulting chaos caused the Resistance troops to panic and scatter, leading to at least 80% of troops being wiped out and forcing a tactical retreat. Despite this, a rookie member of the Resistance stayed behind in order to confront Infinite.
Metropolis includes the stages Capital City, Metropolitan Highway, Null Space, Reserve Block 1 and Laser Cannon 2.
Eggman Empire Fortress[]
Eggman Empire Fortress include the stages Imperial Tower, Mortar Canyon, Iron Fortress and Final Judgement.
