The Turtloids are characters that appear in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. They are a mass-produced turtle-based Badnik model created by Dr. Eggman which serves as aerial transport for robots incapable of flight.
Appearance
Turtloids are based on turtles, hence their name. These large, tired-looking robots possess two gray jet engines on their backside instead of hind legs. They also have a gray metallic head with a turtle nose and front legs, as well as a large, green shell with a yellow underbelly.
History
The Turtloids were created by Dr. Eggman during his campaign for world domination, and would be faced on more than one occasion by Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles "Tails" Prower.[1][2]
Powers and abilities
Turtloids are capable of flight by using their hind legs as rocket engines.
