The Turbo Boost[1] is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a technique used exclusively by Amy Rose that grants her a speed boost.
Description[]
In Sonic R, when performing the Turbo Boost, Amy speeds up with her car, plain and simple, thereby allowing her to race faster.
When performing this move in gameplay, Amy's speed is increased for a brief period of time. While the Turbo Boost is activated however, it becomes much harder to steer Amy since the Turbo Boost tends to propel her forward in a straight line. Additionally, the Turbo Boost has a brief recharge period between each use.
To use the Turbo Boost in gameplay, the player has to press
