Trick Island is the third Challenge Act of Seaside Hill Act 2 in the console/PC version of Sonic Generations. It is unlocked after clearing every Stage in the Dreamcast era and is playable only as Modern Sonic.

Description[]

This Act takes place within a highly modified version of Seaside Hill Act 2. Additional platforms, Rainbow Rings, and Trick Jump Panels have been placed throughout the stage, changing the layout entirely.

Overview[]

In this Challenge Act, the objective is to reach the Goal Ring at the end of the course after performing at least thirty-five Trick Actions.

The player begins on one of the giant Sea Turtles, and will need to fly from Sea Turtle to Sea Turtle while utilizing Trick Jump Panels and Rainbow Rings to increase their trick count. The player will then progress to the racetrack area via a cannon, and can take a higher path with two extra Rainbow Rings by stomping and landing on a Trick Jump Panel immediately after they are over the racetrack.

At the end of the racetrack, there will be three Trick Jump Panels surrounded by two normal Jump Panels on either side. Taking one of the Trick Jump Panels will send the player into an upward-facing Rainbow Ring, which in turn will take them to an upper path, eventually leading into the higher levels of the temple. Taking a normal Jump Panel will send the player down and onto that beach, where they will be forced to take a lower pathway through the Act.

The player then needs to avoid the many crushing pillars within the temple, and exit out to the large open area with the giant stone wheels spinning around. Finally, the player can either use a Trick Jump Panel to cross, or just boost directly across the water to the end of the Act, and will find the Goal Ring directly ahead.
