The mission takes place in three different locations in Soleanna: New City, Forest and Castle Town. A historian called Rossi tells Sonic, Tails and Knuckles about the legend of Soleanna's three musketeers, and that those who are skilled enough can claim their hidden treasure. Believing the three heroes are able to do this, he sends them to Antonio, the spirit of one of the musketeers, who gives each character a test of their skills.
Since Tails and Knuckles are required for this Town Mission, the player must have completed "Battle at the Warehouse!" before this mission can be started.
This Town Mission is divided into three parts: a flight test, a strength test and a speed test.
Playing as Tails in the first challenge, the player has to fly through a series of orange rings floating along the streets of New City. There is a time limit of one minute and thirty seconds for this test. The task is accomplished when every ring has been passed through within the time limit.
In the second challenge while playing as Knuckles, the player must break (but not completely destroy) all of the large boulders scattered around the Forest. As with the previous test, there is a time limit of one minute and thirty seconds. If every boulder is shattered before time runs out, the test is passed.
In the final challenge, Sonic has to run through Castle Town and make it to the Goal Ring in the shortest time possible. The Goal Ring is located near the forest gate. There are also fifty Rings available along the way, although these are optional. Like the previous tests, it must be completed within one minute and thirty seconds. The test is passed when the Goal Ring is reached in time.
If any of these challenges are failed, the entire Town Mission must be restarted from the beginning. The Town Mission is cleared if all three tests are successfully beaten.

This is the only Town Mission in the game in which Tails and Knuckles are playable.
It is also the only Town Mission to involve more than one playable character.
