Town Mission 6: The Hotel's Festival of Rings is the sixth Town Mission in Sonic's story in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006).

Overview[]

A local hotel in Soleanna New City, Soleanna is holding a special event known as the "Festival of Rings", celebrating the hotel's fifteenth anniversary. Because the main purpose of this festival is to show gratitude to the residents of Soleanna, there is no fee to enter. The hotel manager, Ken Williams, encourages Sonic to participate in the event. His task is to collect as many Rings as possible within a time limit of five minutes. If he acquires a certain amount, he is allowed to keep the Rings as a reward.

Guide[]

The goal of this Town Mission is to collect most of the available Rings in less than five minutes. When the mission begins, the player should destroy the two Containers straight ahead and gather up the Rings that spill out. They should continue through the city, collecting Rings on the ground, in the air (some of them can only be reached by using springs and the Light Speed Dash), from Containers and from Ring capsules as necessary. It is important to break open Containers, as doing so gives the player access to more Rings. However, it is not vital to collect every Ring from the Containers; the only mandatory rings are those on the ground, in the air, and in capsules. The Yellow Gem has no effect in this mission, although the Red Gem may provide assistance. If a certain amount of Rings is accumulated before time runs out, the Town Mission will be cleared.

Trivia[]

  • According to Ken Williams, the Festival of Rings marks the hotel's fifteenth anniversary. This references the fact that Sonic the Hedgehog celebrates Sonic's fifteenth anniversary.
