Town Mission 17: The 100 Forgotten Rings is the seventeenth Town Mission in Sonic's story in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006).

Overview

The mission takes place in Castle Town, Soleanna. A wealthy jeweler named Berruni has hidden one hundred Rings around the town, keeping one of those Rings in his pocket to ensure that Sonic does not find it. He makes a bet that if Sonic can find all one hundred Rings in eight minutes, he can keep them for himself.

Guide

There is a time limit of eight minutes to complete this Town Mission, which should be sufficient. Almost all of the Rings are positioned in lines along the apexes of buildings around Castle Town. When the mission begins, the player should jump to the rooftop using the spring at the beginning, then run and bounce across the buildings, collecting each Ring along the way. Gathering them can be somewhat difficult, as walking along the apex of a roof often forces the player to one side, and it is easy to miss Rings accidentally. The Yellow Gem cannot be used in this mission. After collecting 99 Rings, the player must destroy the explosive blue crate behind Berruni, shocking him and causing the one hundredth Ring to fall out of his pocket. If the last Ring is picked up within the time limit, the Town Mission will be cleared.
