Town Mission 12: Open the Cave Gate!

Town Mission 12: Open the Cave Gate! is the twelfth Town Mission in Sonic's story in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006).

Overview

It takes place in New City, Soleanna. As part of their quest to save Princess Elise, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles must visit White Acropolis and find Dr. Eggman. However, the pathway to White Acropolis has been blocked by a laser grid which is being secured by Badniks. In order to progress further, Sonic and his friends must destroy the enemies and deactivate the lasers. 

Since Tails and Knuckles are required for this Town Mission, the player must have completed "Battle at the Warehouse!" before this mission can be started. Needless to say, this Town Mission must also be finished in order to enter White Acropolis.

Guide

This Town Mission has very few enemies to deal with. The player will begin the mission by destroying the horde of robots straight ahead, and will then take out the robots that spawn on the right. Finally, the player must turn around and handle the enemies that were directly behind them. When every enemy has been defeated, the Town Mission will be cleared and the laser grid will deactivate, granting the player access to White Acropolis.
