Town Mission 10: Agent Test: Intelligence is the tenth Town Mission in Shadow's story in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006).

Overview

The mission takes place in Soleanna New City, Soleanna. Frances, an old colleague of Shadow and the head of the decryption unit of the Guardian Units of Nations, is recruiting new G.U.N. agents to join her team. To prove that Shadow has the mental capacity to take on the job, she gives him an intelligence test that requires him to find the missing number in three magic squares before time runs out.

Guide

There are three questions in total, with a time limit of five minutes to answer each one. In each question, there is a stack of crates that form a grid of numbers, with one square in the grid being blank. The player has to analyze the numbers in the grid and work out which number belongs in the blank square, then destroy the crate with the correct answer. When viewing the grid, it is recommended to pause the game so that the timer is stopped.

1. The first question is a 3x3 grid with a different number from 1 to 9 in each square. The only number that does not appear in the grid is 5, so this is the correct answer.
2. The second question is a 3x4 grid. The number in any square in the middle row is the sum of the numbers above and below it. The number above the blank square is 3 and the number below it is 4, so the correct answer is 7.
3. The third and final question is a 4x4 grid. The sum of the four numbers in each 2x2 quarter of the grid is 15; for example, in the upper-left corner, 3, 4, 6 and 2 add up to 15. The numbers present in the lower-left corner are 7, 6 and 2, which already equal 15, so the correct answer is 0.

If any question is answered incorrectly or not quickly enough, the player must restart the entire mission from the beginning. The Town Mission will be cleared when the player answers each question correctly in under five minutes.
