The Torch[1] is an object and gimmick that appears in Sonic Heroes. It is a statue lit with different flames which can be used for various purposes in Mystic Mansion.
Description
Torches are tall statues resembling the skeleton of a human arm. On top, they have their palms raised up which sometimes have a fierce flame burning on them. These flames come in two colors: blue and red. The Torches are found exclusively in Mystic Mansion, where they, according to Dr. Eggman, prevent those entering Mystic Mansion from ever leaving by conventional means as long as they are burning.

The player can lit a Torch by using an offensive Power Formation move and extinguish them with Tornado Jump or the Jump Dash (if the player has collected three Power Cores for the latter).
