- For the version of this character after the Super Genesis Wave, see Titan Metal Sonic. For the rebuilt model, see Titan Metal Sonic (rebuilt model).
Titan Metal Sonic is a transformation that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It was a transformation of Metal Sonic v2.0, achieved with the aid of a Power Gem.
Titan Metal Sonic is a two-story tall robot that resembles both Sonic the Hedgehog and Metal Sonic v2.0, albeit with a more heavy and armored design and much slimmer eyes. In this state, Metal Sonic's color scheme turns red, yellow and grey/silver, and he gains as well sharp claws and teeth.
When Knuckles the Echidna and the Chaotix arrived at Renfield T. Rodent's carnival to save the Knothole Freedom Fighters, Dr. Robotnik sent the repaired Metal Sonic v2.0 to stop them. When Metal Sonic realized it was clearly outnumbered, it used a Power Gem to turn into the gigantic Titan Metal Sonic; however, Heavy had its own Power Gem on hand, and Knuckles used it to turn giant himself, allowing him to take on the new and improved Metal Sonic. Knuckles used his increased powers to defeat Titan Metal Sonic seemingly once and for all. However, Dr. Eggman would later begin rebuilding Titan Metal, albeit as an independent model rather than a temporary transformation.
Powers and abilities
The only ability that Titan Metal Sonic seems to possess is super strength. It also has reasonable durability since it could take multiple punches from Knuckles in his Power Gem-enhanced weakened state without much damage, although it could not take one hit from his full strength.
- Titan Metal Sonic is based off of the final boss from Knuckles' Chaotix. While it was featured in the original comic continuity as a transformation of Metal Sonic, Knuckles' Chaotix never made it clear whether or not Metal Sonic transformed into it or whether it was a separate robot.
