The Time Eater is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is the counterpart of the Time Eater from the In Another Time, In Another Place reality.

Appearance[]

The Time Eater's appearance is mostly unknown. What is known is that it has sinister yellow eyes and is seemingly made up of purple and black smoke. It also has five-fingered arms with clawed fingers.

History[]

While Sonic was celebrating his birthday with his friends, the Time Eater appeared in a smoky hole in the sky, crashing the party, where it opened up Time Holes that sucked up Sonic's friends and scattered them across space and time. Though Sonic tried to attack it, the Time Eater easily knocked him out cold with a single strike of its hand and finished his rampage by kidnapping Sonic's friends. Later on, Sonic found himself in a white void known as the White Space, where he set out to save his friends and stop the Time Eater.[1]

Powers and abilities[]

The Time Eater possesses the ability to open smoky portals named Time Holes that leads to different locations throughout time and space or to the White Space. These Time Holes can also be used can suck people into them and scatter them across space and time. It also has high physical strength, knocking Sonic unconscious with a single strike of its hand.[1]
