The prayer was used by Locke and Dr. Finitevus to keep the Master Emerald from being taken by A.D.A.M.[3] Locke later used Tikal's Prayer to nullify the effects of Dr. Finitevus' hex to liberate Knuckles from his control and end the threat of Enerjak, but at the cost of his own life.[4] Dr. Finitevus's version allows him to empower himself and others with corrupt Chaos energy.[2][5] During a battle, Knuckles uses this prayer to counter Dr. Finitevus' corrupted version of it.[5]
