The tightrope[1] is a gimmick that appears in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). It is a plant rope that can be bounced on like a Spring.

Description

Tightropes are ropes made of plants which are spanned out between two points, like pillars, in midair.

Overview

The Tightropes only appear in Kingdom Valley. In gameplay, they can target the tightropes with the Homing Attack and bounce up and down on them to reach higher areas, similar to the lotus. The more the player bounces on them, the higher they get. To use it in gameplay, the player only has to touch them and automatically fall up and down on them to bounce.
