If you see my blog, it's about the new Sonic the Hedgehog movie that may appear in 2019. This film will be a hybrid of computer animation and live action just like The Smurfs movie in 2011. It's quite possible that Sonic, Dr. Eggman, and the rest of the gang will maintain their computer animated bodies while entering in a real live world lived by humans.
Let's hope news of that movie is shown at the upcoming convention. Besides it makes more sense for Sonic, Eggman, and the rest of the characters from Sonic's world to stay in computer animation while on a live set.
If they are making that movie, let's hope the animated characters get the same voices from the games. Maybe following characters should appear along with Sonic and Eggman like Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream and Cheese just like they did in Sonic X.
Having all the Sonic game characters including Dr. Eggman should be animated in this movie since it maybe more appropriate and hardly any live person could play Eggman. Also I still want the voice characters to be the same as well.
I enjoyed the voice actors from Sonic X, too, but we are dealing with the current voice actors right now. Maybe they stick around and provide the voices in the upcoming movie. I know Dr. Eggman is human and that it is best if a human actor plays him, but I think it is more suitable for Dr. Eggman to be computer animated like the rest of the characters from Sonic's world. Anyhow, I hope the producers including Tim Miller makes this new movie series a little bit successful so it won't be like the Transformers or The Smurfs.
Yeah. In order for this new film series involving a hybrid of CGI and live action to be a success, they must wisely keep the voice actors from the current era of games including the spin-off Sonic Boom, make sure the game characters including Dr. Eggman stay computer animated on a live set, and make sure it is completely action packed. Tim Miller was able to help make Deadpool a successful movie, so hopefully he could do the same with this one. We don't want to see it end up like the Smurfs, and we wanted to be a film series like the Transformers series.
They want to make sure that first movie is a hit and future movies during this film series so they won't ruin the good name and powerful reputation of this game franchise. Besides it all be more exciting if they really have a real life location like New York City take place other than just Sonic's world, so that live humans can be involved in this film.
Me too. Of course we want this movie and the entire film series to be the parody of Sonic X. You know involving the real world and not just Sonic's world since it will be a hybrid movie. A proper use of cartoon characters coming together with human to make sure this helps become a success one way or another.
I know. To clarify this, this movie may not be based on Sonic X, but it can carry resemblance of that show. The thing I want the same was the major characters from Sonic's world to appear in the film series like Sonic, Eggman, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream and Cheese. Since they are major characters in that anime, hopefully they can be in this film series.
Just start something small. Like the first movie has Sonic, Eggman, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream and Cheese to help start this film series off before increasing more characters from the Sonic franchise in future movies.
That's okay, Blitz. Just remember that characters like Sonic, Eggman, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream and Cheese could be possible major characters in the upcoming movie and film series like they were in Sonic X.
Yep, because he is also a visual effects artist and co-founder of the Blur Studio along with Jeff Fowler, the other producer. They are credited in Shadow the Hedgehog for the CG movie production, along with their company Blur Studio. You can see it here: Shadow the Hedgehog (game)/Staff
I know and I'm sorry. It's just that the reason I want this upcoming movie series to be a little like Sonic X with the same major Sonic game characters that star in this anime was because I've enjoyed Sonic X years ago.
It's just that sometimes fans don't agree since they have other ideas. The reason why I added Cream and Cheese in the group of supporting characters in this film series was because I like to see them enjoy more time with Sonic and friends whether or not it takes place in the human world just like she did during Sonic X. She is indeed pretty close to Amy for sometimes, and it would be great and fun to have adventures with her along with Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails. Just trying to make sure we can have an excitement and fun movie series for fans to enjoy.
You know what. I don't care what kind of a possible role Cream and Cheese will have in the upcoming movie. As long as they become one of the major characters for this entire film series, I will be satisfied.
Like maybe at a next expo or convention in 2018. I just wanted this upcoming news to not have something that can ruin the franchise's good name like not having the voices from the games, or not having the same major characters from Sonic's world like the ones from Sonic X, or even not having more scenery or places other than Sonic's world. This franchise is too awesome to go down the tubas, and I like to see more characters who are hardly used like Cream and Cheese, Silver, Blaze, whoever.
When I looked at tv tropes, I hope the following rumors are true. This movie is like Who Framed Roger Rabbit or Space Jam with Sonic and friends in full animation on a live set. This should be more action with sometimes a dark trait like the old Sonic the Hedgehog Saturday Morning show or perhaps like the Transformers film series.
Those are rumors anyway. Overall, I want this film series to be a Who Framed Roger Rabbit style with Sonic and friends being completely cartoon animated in the real world with the same voice characters from the games. It will like the next generation of reality and cartoons coming together like what happened so long ago.
Somewhere during the film series, they may possibly established the Freedom Fighters involving live humans and characters from Sonic's world(notably characters in modern games and Sonic X) whether or not a foe was able to conquer the world. It's been ages since the Freedom Frighters was on media, so it would be nice as a fighting force during the film series.
It will be a different Freedom Fighters that doesn't include any characters from Sonic the Hedgehog Saturday Morning cartoons(like Sally and Bunnie). It will involve characters we've seen recently from Sonic games and anime like Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream and Cheese, and Chaotix group, especially we've never seen in media like Silver, Blaze, and Marine the Raccoon.
It will be a good chance for Silver, Blaze, and possibly Marine to make their media debut after not appearing on Sonic X after being in games and comics only if the new Freedom Fighters are part of this film series. I appreciate your idea based on the old comics, but I'm interested on the modern ones involving humans and characters from Sonic games during this millennium to form it as a fighting force organization.
You know the reason why I became so obsessed with this movie was because I want more than what I saw during Sonic X like more adventures around the human world and more different characters from Sonic's world(for example: Silver, Blaze, and Marine) despite only appearing in games and comics. I still want to keep the same major characters from Sonic X(Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream and Cheese) for this film series one way or another, but with new human characters. Hopefully the Sonic the Hedgehog film series will have the live action/animation style as Who Framed Roger Rabbit. One of the new characters I want to see in media other than Silver and Blaze was Marine the Raccoon from Sonic Rush. She maybe under used, but I would like to see more what she's capable of with her powers according to her page on this website. You already know about a possible Freedom Fighters ideas and the possible names in that group. I don't know if all the things I said are possible for this film series, but if it is all in it, I will be completely satisfied with this film.
That's right. I like to see characters like Silver, Blaze, and Marine(even though she is under used) make their media debut and new things to see in the human world with the same major Sonic characters from Sonic X.
Also since Sony is going to make that movie, I hope it won't turn out bad like other movies such as The Emoji Movie and Smurfs: The Lost Village because of bad reviews and lack of box office success. Sony pictures hasn't been making much good movies lately, so hopefully they don't do that to the Sonic movie and ruin its reputation.
Sony Pictures must've learned their past mistakes of awful films especially after having horrible reviews of The Emoji Movie. After all, they must see that the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise is extremely popular worldwide from video games, to comics, and to tv shows. Tim Miller was able to make Deadpool a successful movie, so hopefully he could do the same with the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie along with mastering the animation/live-action technique from Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
If they want to make this new Sonic movie and the entire film series a hit, they should follow the wise philosophy of the upcoming My Little Pony movie. Things like keep the original voices from games during this era and make sure it is family actor packed like what we saw in teasers of the My Little Pony movie.
I think the new movie should end with more creatures from Sonic's world start to appear in the human world leaving a cliffhanger for what was to come throughout the film series. To clear things up, Sonic, Eggman, Tails, Amy, and Cream and Cheese are going to be key characters that first entered the other world before more and more of their kind start showing up to close out the first movie.
Indeed. The more creatures they show up in the human world, the better the possibilities there are throughout the film series like how the Transformers came to Earth to settle there. Another thing is that this whole thing will look better if they really used the same style as the Roger Rabbit movie where animated characters and live people come together. It also happened in Charlie Brown including the MetLife commercial.
Absolutely. It makes perfect sense for them to use the same method of animation/live-action hybrid as Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Looney Tunes: Back in Action. The Smurfs did used that hybrid, but the characters seem to be more live action as the human cast. I hope The Who Framed Roger Rabbit method is what the producers are going for so this whole thing won't be too live action in this new family action film. With more of Sonic's creatures appearing with computer animation like Sonic and friends could make things better and interesting, it could be like Star Wars where we see humans with aliens all the time.
I don't wanted to be like The Smurfs and The Smurfs 2 since everything is more live action only than a hybrid to me. The Sonic characters should be more in computer animation like we saw in games to make sure things are more appropriate to help bring a new generation of cartoons on a live set like what happened so many years ago. Overall, I want what we saw on Who Framed Roger Rabbit and the Peanuts in the MetLife commercial since we saw those characters interact with humans you know.
I not just talking about Blaze appearing in the upcoming movie, I was preferring to Blaze appearing somewhere in the possible upcoming film series once the first movie is all settled. Both Blaze and Cream could bond like sisters like how Sonic and Tails bond like brothers like what we saw in Sonic Rush.
To me, looks like they may really use the same filming methods as Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Since it will be from just Sony Pictures and Columbia like Spider Man and The Amazing Spider Man film series, it will never be a full flesh animation film from Sony Pictures Animation like The Smurfs and a failed film like The Emoji Movie. Sonic, his friends, and enemies will be animated by Marza Animation Planet who animated cutscenes in Sonic games, so the characters can be animated like from the games despite the possibility of having some live human characters and live set in the real world. That's not the only thing, I heard that Original Film, a production that helped made Fast and Furious film series will part of this film's production as well. The Sonic movie and the film series could be a bit action as the Fast and Furious series depending on how they do it with combining CGI and live action.
Having Paramount Pictures make the Sonic movie over Sony is a really perfect idea, indeed. This studio will keep the same productions like Marza Animation Planet and Original Films. Paramount has a long line of great movies and film series like Titanic, Transformers, Iron Man, and Star Trek. The Sonic film series could be one of them if they used the same technique as Who Framed Roger Rabbit correctly. They did combine animation and live action before with Spongebob Squarepants, so I think they know what they are doing.
Wait. That was from an article talking about the game and not the movie. I’m still waiting on the official approval of Sonic’s friends being in that movie. It it might also mean that this film may not only take place in Sonic’s world, but also include the human world too depending how they make it. About this film, there are rumors that this movie may go PG-13, but I think it will be more like a PG movie since it will be a family action film like Harry Potter. Hopefully this film series will be successful like Harry Potter and Fast and Furious. Whatever if this movie was rated PG or PG-13, they must sometimes add Sonic’s friends(Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream and Cheese) as one of the major characters of this movie and film series despite Sonic being the main focus of this.
I think PG is more appropriate for this kind of movie. Besides, I don’t think adding a group of Sonic’s friends(Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream & Cheese) into the major characters group with Sonic will over saturate things, it will be like seeing how these characters adapt to environments or play different roles.
Me too. It may look a lot, but I want Sonic and all of his friends to get a good start. I don’t care what they think if these are too many for the first movie. If they all the characters I mentioned appear in the first movie, I’m satisfied.
Having the same major characters from Sonic X(Sonic, Eggman, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream & Cheese) appear in the fist film and so on sounds completely reasonable and it beats having less of Sonic’s friends involve in some way too. Just making sure the entire film series is reasonable like the major characters.
They should definitely think of this movie and film series as a reboot on Sonic X with the same following characters(Sonic, Eggman, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream & Cheese) being major characters once again so we can see more on most of them.
Are you preferring Sonic, Dr. Eggman, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream & Cheese being used as major characters in the first movie and so on in this film series? Just making sure I won’t get confused or mixed.
I know about Sonic and Dr. Eggman, I was hoping major supporting on Tails and the others I’ve kept talking about. Either way, those Sonic game characters that were major characters during Sonic X are quite possibly going to be in the first movie and more as the film set progresses forward.
Me too. They are definitely keeping the same major characters from Sonic’s world. I want to see more event moments that Sonic X doesn’t show much like an evening gala like we’ve always discussed. Most action movies show evening gala events too and sometimes involve party crashing moments too.
Speaking of Power Rangers, they always have places to settle and use as a base. I wonder what building or location Sonic and friends may settle together for their headquarters if they are in the human world.
Yeah, but my throat is still irritated from the sinus drainage, but I've gone overboard with the honey, cinnamon, and lemonade treatment, so the irritation is not as severe as it was, so I am able to at least eat something now.
4Kids somehow blew it in Sonic X and didn’t show much we expected like more moments at a fancy formal party, more background history, and other. So Paramount better watch most moments on Sonic X to see how they can improve for this movie and the film series.
Yeah, and it was 4Kids' fault that Chaotic went bust since they wanted all the rights to it and it drove the company that made Chaotic to go broke and have to end the television series before we got all the seasons that they originally set up for the show anyway.
Either way, I want Paramount to rebuild that show and turn it into a movie and film series, but it is more advanced than the one made by 4Kids. It should have the same major characters from Sonic’s world like Sonic, Eggman, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream and Cheese, but with different humans characters.
Speaking of different human characters, remember this film may include an intelligent teenage boy like Hiro of Big Hero 6 and his wealthy dad who resembles Tony Stark as major human characters helping Sonic and friends.
The reason for a human character to resemble Tony Stark was that he’s a techno genius with great scientific minds who is a multi millionaire, and that character is not going to be like Iron Man like Stark. He was just running his business and help Sonic and friends in different events.
Yeah. In Sonic X, there was a lot of them, and didn’t show much of non media party events like a ball or gala or other fun events. Not to mentioned didn’t get a chance to enjoy much of the human world in peace like seeing a movie or going to a mall. So this movie must involve a lot of fun in the human world without to much paparazzi.
I like to see how Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream and Cheese get use to a live location like maybe New York or any city filled with live humans if they are really sent there during the first movie. This movie and the entire film series doesn’t need to take place in just Sonic’s world since using only that world maybe a bit boring.
Sorry for the obsessiveness about this movie. It’s just that after reading the news about this movie being in production and it is CGI live action as well, I am dying to see if this movie can be an improvement of the old anime Sonic X which involves Sonic and friends being cartoon characters and live humans having adventures in the human world and so on.
I hope that at the start of 2018, Paramount Pictures would show their development over time with behind the scenes. They better used the same computer animation on Sonic and friends like from the cinematic scenes in the video games we saw recently while combining them with actual live people and set. Something to satisfy movie critics and Sega experts.
I looked at the talk page for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie, and the cast seems reasonable, but they should narrow down to Sonic, Dr. Eggman, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream and Cheese as overall major characters. Maybe this film should be a mix of both The Smurfs and Transformers. You know, fun and playful in the human world like the Smurfs, and serious action packed like Transformers.
I don’t know. I just wanted to add the same following characters from Sonic’s world like Sonic, Dr. Eggman, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream and Cheese just like they were in Sonic X as I keep mentioning it to you. The major human characters I hin mind are an intelligent teenage boy and his wealthy scientific father. As for the rest of the human characters, I’m not sure.
Well The Smurfs did have six major Smurf characters and Transformers has about the same number of Autobots as the Smurfs from their movie. That is why I want the following characters Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream and Cheese become major characters starting with the first movie.
Brian Boy, these are interesting, but I’m not sure on the live action humans yet. I still prefer Eggman to be the only animated human. For the characters from Sonic games I preferred the first five names you mentioned: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream and Cheese to be in the first movie before expanding the characters throughout the film series. You don’t have any clear proof on the film’s genre.

It's going to be a science fantasy action-adventure film with elements from the video games and it will also by inspired by the filmtechniques of Michael Bay, Denis Villeneuve and Christopher Nolan.
I think the human characters maybe different than the one from Sonic X. We are still keeping Sonic, Dr. Eggman, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream and Cheese as major characters for not just the first movie, but also the entire film series.
Brian Boy, where did you find these sources that it was never confirmed yet? Don’t forget that Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream and Cheese are better being major characters starting with the first movie before they can expand characters throughout the film series. These directors you mentioned are interesting since most of them made fine movies that fit the genre to the Sonic movie. I really have no idea it is also fantasy. Must be because both cartoon characters like Sonic and friends will cross paths with live humans.
I think it’s safe that the computer animation to Sonic and the others was the same one from games we’ve been getting like Marza Animation Planet. Since we’ve seen that type of animation before, it would work well with live people on live set.
The film can have a 168 minutes runtime. (More like The Lord of the Rings or The Dark Knight) I also handpicked Jeff Nichols (Mud, Midnight Special) to be a possible live-action scene director alongside Jeff Fowler. Also I'll add the Avatar plus Cream & Cheese.
You know this maybe the first time we see cartoon characters and live people come together in an action movie. The last few movies that were animated/live action hybrid like The Smurfs(2011), Space Jam, and even Who Framed Roger Rabbit were comedy.
I know Cream and Cheese were pacifist characters. The reason why I want those two to be one of the major characters with Sonic and the others in the Sonic film series starting with the first movie was because I think we should add a major civilian character into the mix since we all know it is a family action movie. They can still be useful since the first movie one way or another.
Me too, Paramount does make fine movies like Transformers, Titanic, and others, so they may know what they’re doing for the Sonic movie. Also I’m glad you agreed that nothing like the cast is confirmed or finalized until they added Knuckles, Cream, and Cheese as one of the major characters with Sonic, Tails, and Amy.
Paramount also released Nickelodeon films, and Paramount also released family films like Charlotte's Web, Popeye, and they also own A Boy Named Charlie Brown and Snoopy, Come Home. Those are for the Paramount Family Favorites.
Hopefully Paramount does that. I know characters like Cream and Cheese don’t appear much in video games, but can be perfect additions to the major characters list in the movie and film series like they were in Sonic X.
