The Mysteries of Pre-Mobian History is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics.

Description[]

The Mysteries of Pre-Mobian History is a book that is blue in color. While its contents are not directly explored, given its title, it is likely the book explored ideas, information, theories, and archeological evidence on the pre-history of Mobians.

It is inferred by Sonic that the author of that book was a “crack pot”, suggesting that most people do not take his work seriously, although after hearing what Isaac had to say about the history of Mobius, Rotor suggested that the author of the book had come to a lot of accurate conclusions.[1]

History[]

Tails was reading The Mysteries of Pre-Mobian History one day while in Knothole Village. He took an extreme liking to the theories and content of the book, and wondered if any of it could really be true. Tails quickly ran out of his house and off to talk to Rotor about it, though he ultimately didn’t get the chance to do so.

Later on, after returning from the facility that was built by Dr. Ivan Kintobor, Tails presented the book to Sonic and Rotor, with him suggesting that a lot of what Isaac had revealed about the ancient history of Pre-Mobian Mobius seemingly lined up heavily with what the author of the book had written. Rotor suggested that the author could easily have been proven right on his theories had they confirmed historical facts with Isaac, and lamented the fact that they failed to bring Isaac back with them, with Rotor suggesting that they could have cross referenced his information with the theories found in the book.

Trivia[]

  • In Issue 149, the book is colored red rather than the initial blue it was depicted with.
  • The author's name on the cover, while obscured by Tails’ hand, appears to be Darwin. This is an obvious reference to Charles Darwin, who popularized the theory of evolution, similar to how Mobians evolved from humans and animals via the Xorda dropping Genes Bombs on Earth.
