The Teleportation Beam is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by the Archie Comics.

Description[]

The Teleportation Beam is a weapon that can be used by various methods. Eggman can use it directly by using a special gauntlet, or via his Egg Beater. Snively likewise can use it via his own beater. It is programmed to automatically teleport anyone caught in it to be sent to the Egg Grapes, although Nicole later reprogrammed the Teleporter Beam so that it would instead send people to New Mobotropolis. The beam itself is yellow in color.

History[]

After having infiltrated New Megaopolis and discovering Eggman’s plans with the Teleporter Beam, Espio in a panic attempted to quickly leave the city, but this caused him to be spotted and eventually tracked down by Eggman, who used the Teleporter Beam to send him to the Egg Grapes. Soon after, at Freedom HQ, while the Knothole Freedom Fighters and the Chaotix were relaxing, Snively attacked them with his beater, sending all of them away with his Teleporter Beam, all except Sonic, whom he had left for Eggman to deal with, and Amy, Knuckles, and Tails, whom he had failed to notice were still there.[1]

After Sonic was utterly destroyed by Eggman in his Egg Beater, Amy, Tails, and Knuckles regrouped with him at the destroyed Freedom HQ. Nicole, within her handheld, suggested a plan, with the group soon using a Saucer to speed to the Egg Grape Vineyard to rescue the victims. When arriving there, Tails used Nicole to hack into the Teleporter Beam’s systems and reroute the Teleporter Beam to send anyone caught in it to New Mobotropolis rather than into the Egg Grapes. Eggman, unaware of this change until it was too late, used his Egg Beater’s Teleporter Beam to recapture the Mobians, when in reality, he was sending them all to New Mobotropolis.[2]
