The Techno Bodyshell Battlesuit[1] is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It was a single-person combat vehicle designed and built by Dr. Robotnik.
Description[]
Appearance[]
Like many of Robotnik's previous creations, the Techno Bodyshell Battlesuit's appearance was based around his own visage. The mech sports an overall egg-like shape with two large hands in a silver coloration, and size slightly larger than Robotnik.[1]
Features and abilities[]
The Techno Bodyshell Battlesuit can attack opponents with its extendible arms, and features a powerful laser cannon built into its torso. Though not seen, the Battlesuit could apparently fly as well, as that was how Robotnik stated he traveled to Flicky Island in the first place.[1]
History[]
Sonic Blast[]
The Techno Bodyshell Battlesuit was employed by Robotnik during the Dr.'s excursion to Flicky Island in search of a Chaos Emerald, where he ambushed and battled with Sonic the Hedgehog inside the Flicky Zone. While temporarily thrown-off by a preemptive punch from the mech upon entering the Zone, Sonic quickly gained the upper hand and destroyed the Battlesuit with an charged-up Spin Dash granted by a hidden Spin-Wheel inside the zone.[1]
Trivia[]
- The Techno Bodyshell Battlesuit is based on the Final Weapon from Sonic 3D Blast.
- In Sonic Blast, Robotnik refers to the Techno Bodyshell Battlesuit as "new and improved", implying an earlier model existed at some point.
