Article name change[]

Just like Bladed Spinner, it looks like the Electro Spinner has a new name post-Sonic Adventure. Anyone care to double-check if it's called the "Thunder Spinner" in the more recent BradyGames guides? SaucieSpecs (talk) 14:14, January 20, 2019 (UTC)

I think you have to ask User:Luma.dash for that information.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 18:52, January 20, 2019 (UTC)
Luma.dash says that it is "Spanner" (retranslated from its Japanese name) in the Sonic Colors BradyGames guide and generically "Spina" or "Spinner" (interchangeable with its base Badnik) in the Sonic Generations BradyGames guides. I'd think that the in-game version ("Thunder Spinner") would still be preferable, though it's not as consistent as previously guessed. SaucieSpecs (talk) 11:20, January 22, 2019 (UTC)
I would go with Thunder Spinner too.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 11:43, January 22, 2019 (UTC)
If there are no objections, then let's go with it. SaucieSpecs (talk) 17:28, January 22, 2019 (UTC)

Japanese name citation[]

So, I'm citing all the Japanese names for the Sonic Unleashed entries, and noticed a bit of inconsistency that I'm not sure how to handle. In Unleashed, it's simply called "Thunder Spinner" (サンダースピナ) in Japanese, but then in Colors in the art gallery, it's called "Spanner" (スパナ) like it's original Japanese name. Not sure where to implement what name where on the article. BubbleRevolution (talk) 19:11, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

Move to "Spanner"[]

Should this page be renamed "Spanner" since that's the most recently used name for it in English? "Thunder Spinner" is only used in Unleashed, and features a Japanese name different from the one typically used, while "Spanner" originates in Sonic Colors. BubbleRevolution (talk) 00:56, 3 January 2023 (UTC)

I guess someone could check the Sonic Generations guide to see what name it uses. There aren't any scans online, but I think someone owns the book here. DiegoUreta68 (talk) 02:42, 4 January 2023 (UTC)
That'd be a good thing to look into, yeah. BubbleRevolution (talk) 18:37, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
