When does this takes place?

While nowadays we don't have much info, judging for the picture, it would probably take place during the classic days, or not immediately after Generations. From the image of the Lost World, Sonic, Tails and the Tornado look the same like in the Sonic 4 episodes. Who knows if it is just the artistic design or timeline issues. "Lost World" can mean multiple things. It looks to me like the leaked screenshot is incorporating some Mario-Galaxy theme with a "lost world/planet". That's just my silly assumption, though. Good luck suing SEGA when the game is released. Serious Sam Heavy 19:48, May 17, 2013 (UTC)

Other Playable characters.

Don't keep your hopes too high about multiple playable characters. This game is introducing a new gameplay style, meaning the gameplay style used in Sonic Generations and Sonic Colors might be gone. Sequel to colors?

A little while back I heard something about a rumor of a Sonic Colors sequel being exclusive to an upcoming Nintendo console, at first I thought its project name was Sonic Dimensions but that turned out to be a big heap of fail and ever since then I kinda had doubts of the sequel to Colors being true but now we've got two new Sonic games coming out exclusively to Nintendo. So, what do you think? Could Sonic Lost World be a sequel to Colors or maybe the third announced game that we don't really know about? Fang should appear in this one

Just my thoughts

I think the reason why the old style tornado is because Sonic Team will be introducing new designs for Sonic and his friends. I personally believe the new design will have all the manuverability and charm of the classic characters but still look modern. If you look in this picture you'll notice that "Modern Sonic and Tails" have the body proportion sizes of "Classic Sonic and Tails" than there modern counterparts had in Generations. So I believe the reason why Sonic and Tails are riding a classic Tornado is because Sonic Team will be introducing a slightly classical new style to Sonic and his friends.

As for the six unknown characters, I believe they each represent different environments that can be seen in this picture.

From left to right

• Judging by the big green leaf thing I bet she's the "mother nature" of the forest regions.
• No idea, perhaps assosiated whatever is at the south pole of the hexagon made world.
• I am guessing he will be assosiated with the islands, looks like a wooden staff, perhaps an islander theme. However since he is of a paler blue than the last guy he maybe assosiated with the glacier regions.
• Since he remidns me of a demon, he is obvious to me he is assosiated with the lava regions on the north pole.
• His bodyfat may mean he's assosiated with the ice regions, I personally believe his deal is desert regions dye to yellow and perhaps his strength of survival in arid conditions.
• the least I can estimate with. His blue colour perhaps mean he is assosiated with islands instead.

Alternatively they could also be based on scrapped zones, that the "Lost World" consist of zones that have been "lost".

• Green lady in charge of Wood Zones
• Purple long guy in charge of Beta Hidden Palace Zones.
• Guy on stick maybe to do with Winter Zones.
• I still think the middle guy is a demon assosiated with he volcanic north, though no fire theme zone I know of thats been scrapped.
• Fat guy for Dust Hill Zones
• Sickly dude for Genocide City Zones.

It looks like they're six sections on this world and they are six characters who are rumoured to be guardians, so you can assume they're meant to guard these six areas, although some of these areas appear to be seperated by other regions or empty space. Myself 123 17:37, May 27, 2013 (UTC)

Not originally my theory but best one I heard yet. They each represent six of the seven deadly sins. Though personaly I would make envy green and lust be cyan, just as the World Ring of pleasure is cyan.

• Zomom = Gluttony

From what i can see from the trailer, it reminds me allot of Super Mario Galaxy or concept for Sonic X-treme. I think it will be fun to play, since i love galaxy so much. Eggman is now out of white space. We don't know how he escaped, but he did, and we'll have to accept that. Kinda like a crash game

Does anyone get the idea of Sonic and Eggman working together, remind you of a Crash Bandicoot game?

I doubt so. The original story for Sonic Xtreme was much different to what Sonic Lost World has. Sonic Xtreme was going to introduce Tiara Boobowski as the new playable character (with one concept story she was more romantically involved with Sonic than Amy could ever achieve). The only comparisons that fans are seeing is purely gameplay wise. Fans are also reminded of Super Mario Galaxy series due to level apperances being simular to the galaxies Mario visits. Buy out?

According to Nintendo's Satoru Iwata, it is announced that Nintendo itself has entered into a worldwide partnership with Sega regarding the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.

Unlikely? Sega does have tendacies to handle money poorly and pretty dependantant on Microsoft (XBox), Sony (PlayStation) and especially Nintendo after the Dreamcast failed. Without PS3 and XBox 360 version

I heard Sonic Lost World game was released sometime in November. Both Nintendo Wii U and 3DS is capable for the game somehow. I check the game for my PS3 but it was not for this system, just like Sonic Colors.

Sonic/Eggman union

I wanted to edit the page to correct a false statement made by Hiroyuki Miyazaki from SEGA of America, though i couldn't. He stated: The game marks an evolution of the Sonic series and fans –both old and new — will be excited by a story which sees two of video games biggest adversaries, Sonic and Dr. Eggman, joining forces for the first time to help defeat a new deadly threat.”

That's a lie. Everyone that made and/or played most Sonic games should know this is not true. Sonic and Eggman have assisted each other various times before, and for the same reason of defeating a common enemy that went berserk. Examples are:

• Sonic Adventure (Perfect Chaos)

• Sonic Adventure 2 (Biolizard/The Eclipse Cannon),

• Sonic Heroes (Metal Sonic/Madness/Overlord)

• Sonic 2006 (Solaris)
• Sonic Advance 3 (Gemerl)

So, i would be thankful if anyone could edit the trivia section to correct that tidbit of information above.

I see your point but I think they meant that throughout the entire game (from start to finish), Sonic and Eggman tema up together to fend off the Deadly Six. The games you mentioned does have Eggman helping the heroes at some point but not throughout the entire game (as from the start of each of those games, Eggman always has the intention to go against the heroes until to the climax of the storyline).OrbAdventures (talk) 06:25, May 31, 2013 (UTC)

I think it's gonna be the exact opposite of the usually storyline. Instead of Sonic and Eggman going aganinst each other and then teaming up at the end, it'll be Sonic and Eggman working together, and then Eggman going against Sonic at the end. SonicGirl4Ever (talk) 17:42, July 29, 2013 (UTC)

About the Sonic series' chronology

There would be some low-quality and bad resolution pictures here due the lag on IGN's YouTube channel and videos. But there seem to be some old and maybe new badniks in the game here and there. But are you guys able to recognize some of these badniks that are featured in the gallery? I think I did small discover, while watching the part of IGN gameplay footage, as I did see that Orbinaut with four yellow spinning spiked balls moves slowly between Motobug group and speed boosters. In the gameplay footage Sonic destroys it along with Moto Bugs and the chicken will clearly pop out the Orbinaut. I actually look up the picture number four at the above gallery more carefully, the badnik in the picture looks slightly similar to Blaster badnik, that appeared at Flying Battery Zone in Sonic & Knuckles. Unknown U.F.O Wisp = ?

So you know of the "Unknown U.F.O Wisp" seen in the 3DS gameplay for the E3 Demo of Sonic Lost World, right? Well, I've noticed since it seems to suck in the hills and all that stuff, I think it might be a redesign of the Void Wisp from the DS version of Sonic Colo(u)rs.

What do you think?

I think we've only seen this Wisp once and that it has yet to confimed as to what the Wisp is called or it's colour power. But, considering the difference between this Wisp and the other Violet Wisp, the lack of Nega Wisp characteristics, and considering that the Cyan and Yellow Wisps are still the same, I doubt this is a redesign of the Violet Wisp. Haven't played Nintendo DS version of Colors, but what I can assume is that it would be completely new Wisp to being featured either just in Nintendo 3DS version. It does have Saturn planet shape before using its power and the power-up music isn't the same mixing at all as what Void Wisp uses in levels. Sonic Lost World Predictions

Well, I've heard many people say that this game feels like Sonic X-Treme or if you're a Mario fan, Super Mario Galaxy (forgive me if I'm wrong,I'm not a Mario fan). Even the devs said that it looks like that Mario game rather than Sonic.

If it is exclusively to Nintendo Consoles, and being compared to a Nintendo Game, I predict the plot will be compared to another Nintendo Game.

What if The Deadly Six were just mini bosses, Eggman is still the final boss, and Sonic not only saved the animals on that lost world, but Amy as well from the clutches of evil, just like the other Nintendo game. What do you think?Barnacles1or2 (talk) 09:36, June 19, 2013 (UTC)

The ESRB website is saying that the game will have violent quotes like "I'm gonna skin you alive" and "As long as I can strangle a Zeti, my hands are fine". The organization is real, right? Even though I have witnessed series rude words all over the Sonic World I believe that many people did not really like Sonic so I suggest that SEGA should prepare something even better like Sonic colors it is cool to be passion SEGA. However small things like this should not be occurring like the game Shadow the hedgehog, You can see that at the front page, the wall paper is where Shadow holds a 'gun' and immediately shows Violence is contained in this game.

Who Eats the Hearts?!

So I know that one of the quotes is, "I'll get fat eating your black hearts." I haven't heard of anyone who eats hearts in the Sonic franchise to date. .__. So whose the heart-eater(s)??? Nintendo takes over

I'm not even gonna bother asking if anyone's noticed how Mario-y this game looks. :o There's mini-bosses like the Koopalings, the level design is like Galaxy and Galaxy 2 (though, of course, it's more speed-oriented), everything in the game is a throwback to the old games... (and everybody knows the Mario series hasn't changed in aesthetic since the release of SMB shattered the Donkey Kong thing)
