It probably mixes Sonic's speeding through levels with a puzzle element added to it...they were probably too lazy to think "let's make a console game that follows on from Sonic Rush Adventure, where Sonic and Tails have to work with Blaze and Marine to stop both versions of Dr Eggman". I can't WAIT to see this game in action, but from what I can tell, it's gonna be Sonic Unleashed without the Werehog, meaning IGN should have a tough time making excuses as to why they don't want us to like it.

By the way, I thought the Werehog was awesome, and am excited about the news that SEGA is plainning on bringing him back.

Tails hasn't had a role in a long time. Since Sonic Team's original writers are long gone now, the new writiers have made Tails be more of a tagalong instead of Sonic's good old sidekick in past games. Ok who put up the game box for sonic colors its a complete eyesore and it is also fake, i say it should be taken off and be replaced with the sonic colors logo, all in favor say yes.

Characters

Okay I know Sonic,Tails, Eggman and the Wisps are gonna be both in the Wii and DS versions, but Knuckles and Shadow???? I know it's thier just planned charcters but It seems wierd. In my opinion anyway

yeah if you ask mr they should put in characters that they havent used in along time like Espio, charmy, vector, Cream, Chaos,Emerl,Gemerl or even silver, blaze, Shade or even a cool new character and this game better have voice acting because if they dont voice sonic anymore i will be verry pissed, and no more of this version exclusive stuff.

i think that the only old charcter that should come back is fang, mighty and ray should stay dead, they are basically cargon copies of sonic and tails, and sonic colors should include team chaotix in sonic colors, they could investigate the suspicious theme park or team rose or a new character but not like chip who died a character that can be featured prominently and cream i miss that little bunny -14sonicstar-

Wii Vs Ds

Is it just me, or dose the Ds version sound better than the Wii? An extra wisp, three playable characters, it just aeems alot better to me. Myself 123 17:49, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

I don't own a DS, but I saw what it looks like on the Wii. I think that SEGA is doing good on both consoles. For the DS, it's got the Sonic Rush feel to it (hopefully?), and for the Wii, there's both 3D and 2D. I also saw that one of the wisps acts like a drill, and can help Sonic burrow underground like in SMG2, but Sonic can move around freely. Mephiles In Sonic Colors

There is not a snowballs chance in Hell that Mephiles will ever show up as a character again. e was destroyed from time. Also, why would you want a rematch? Sonic and Mephiles have only met once, and...Sonic didn't turn out so great.

Ah, but here's the trick Sega could use. In sonic 2006, the mephiles that you fought as shadow, got killed by as sonic, and killed in the last story, was the one from present day. What I hate the most since the 90's rivalry.

In the end they mentioned that Sonic is at his best at mimicking Mario elements similar to 2010's hit game Super Mario Galaxy 2.

personally i like sonic better than mario and i like all sonic games but i think sega should just come up with new concepts, insrtead of mimicing other ideas wich also works but come up with fresh new ideas, thats what made SA, SA2 and SH so great because they were fresh and new, -14sonicstar-

I can't stand it!!! And what's worse, people always beg SEGA for an original idea, then when they get it, they complain about "Where did that come from?" Basically, those people who dare to call themselves "fans" are never happy unless they have something to complain about. Case in point: The Sonic 4 boycott. Oh, and KHGenesis651, it was Nintendo Power. IGN surprisingly said it could be "the best Sonic game ever!" What I want to know is: when did IGN go under new management, because this is polar opposite of what I expect from them.

For why you're saying their mimicking: SEGA is just trying to make their style of what Nintendo's idea is. I'm sure that they will come up with something without following up on a Nintendo Game. What I like about Colours

I don't think a new super transformation would be a good idea. Hyper Sonic was dropped out because Super Sonic is all really needed. DarkSpine and Excalibur Sonic are exclusive to the Storybook series. If there was going to be a new super transformation then he must relate to a colourful theme so a new form maybe "Spectrum Sonic" and chances are bare so much resemblence to Hyper Sonic that Sega be just asking for hassle. Sure why not Super Emeralds in Sonic Colours? Well why now in a game about cute spirit aliens and not before in previous games against threats more dangerous than giant Egg-mecha's? Two Articles

Hey, listen up. SEGA has revealed that the DS version will have different level layouts, different bosses and a completely different story. Therefore I think we should nip this game in the bun and make two separate articles for the two separate versions from the start. That way we won't end up with a huge article on two very different games like Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. Release Date Confirmed

Hey guys, since this page is locked I can't make edits but SEGA just released a new trailer for Sonic Colors and at the end they said that the release date (for the Wii version at least) was November 16, 2010. New Trivia fact

I uploaded a video of Sonic Colors (featuring Tropical resort zone) and someone pointed out in a comment that the textures for the areas where you can use the yellow wisp resemble the textures on the background of Palmtree Panic Zone form Sonic CD.
