I have a bit of belief in this. I think SEGA doesn't want anything said to distract from Episode II and "Dimensions". If anything it may be first be mentioned at E3 this year. The only thing having me disbelieve this is the fact that I don't think SEGA Superstars games come out that fast. (Note: The reason I put quotes around "Dimensions" due to the fact it's also in rumor. Although the website that reported it was also the one that reported Generations early.) I some what have proof this is a real game but this is only a possablity. In the Trailer for Sonic 4 ep.2 there is a remix of Sonic and Sega Allstars racing my therory it is going to be in this game so It would overall make scence that this game exitsts. Dr. Eggman rox 2 YO PIE GOOD!

That may be a clue to who's playable. I would wish that Mario is in this game too. He wasn't in the last game due to Sega not wanting to cross-contaminate with the Mario-Sonic crossovers, yet Sonic was fully exposed to the Nintendo multiverse in Super Smash Bros. Brawl? More than 1 vehicle per character?
I'd say that each character should have more than 1 vehicle. Like, Tails could have the MTTP-1 Whirlwind(or whatever it's called) and the Tornado Racer, and Shadow could have the GUN Autotread(that's what I'm calling it for now) and the Dark Rider. Maybe that would work as an option only for returning stages, because it would take a lot of time for each character to have more than one transforming vehicle would cause the quality of SASRT to go down in other areas. If it was for returnig stages only then it would only be a land vehicle and they coul port it from the other game maybe. I wish Shadow still had his bike instead of that GUN Autotread thing, but it wouldn't be that easy to make a Motorcycle transform into a plane or boat (another reason there will be no more motorcycles is because they were harder to hit with items, they blocked other races such as eggman which made no sense, and whoever had a motorcycle had an unfair advantage) and since Tails' old vehicle was already a plane on the ground, how would it transform into a plane? Shadow and Tails, ACTUALLY HAD a respective motorcycle and bi-plane in the Sonic canon. So Sega...WHY ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH WOULD YOU TAKE THESE CHARACTER'S VEHICLES - THE ONES THEY ACTUALLY HAVE IN THEIR CANON - AND TAKE THEM AWAY FROM THEM?
I'm fine with the MTP-01 Whirlwind being there, but that tank-treaded limo...thing that Shadow has just looks retarded! I'm sure people would have wanted his dune buggy from Sonic 06 more than this P.O.C!

The MTP-01 Whirlwind is actually a pretty good vehicle - I know this from playing Sonic Drift 2 - but I still kinda think Shadow's vehicle, the GUN Autotread, as I call it, looks a bit stupid. This is like a watered down version of the "Why is Sonic in a car?" argument. Basically I believe Sumo Digital had to make some decissions and perhaps cut corners to make the gameplay work. They didn't wanted to make an expansion to the first game so to spice it up they added travel over water and air. However they needed to make it work and came up with the idea of transforming vehicles. However they would then needed to make sure every racer had the ability to transform so that they can race so have to give new vehicles to everyone. I don't know about Rachet and Clank, but the Miis are confirmed to be in the Wii U and 3DS versions....just no one believes the links I put up that clearly state they are there.
Hi there folks; people have hacked the Xbox 360 version to see if the Steam version of the game will have any exclusive characters. It's been found that the Steam version exclusively features Team Fortress 2 Characters all sharing a vehicle. The Pyro is the default one for land; Heavy Weapons Guy for water, and Spy for the All-Star move. They appear to be using placeholder lines in the console hack (Heavy was heard using another characters' lines and Pyro sounded slightly like a monkey), so it's assumed the TF2 voice actors haven't yet recorded the voice lines. If they made a Planet 51 DLC Pack for this game, it would have Chuck Baker in a white shuttle car that sprouts plane wings for flight and water propellers for water, and Chuck's All-Star Move would be Hyperdrive, where he rockets down the track like mad, ploughing over anyone in his way.

Finally...
Got the limited edition of this yesterday, probably completed, like, half of it by now. I was kinda surprised when I got it, I was thinking 'Is this even suppossed to be out yet?'! But I'd like to clear up a rumour or two: returning tracks from ASR1 are NOT ports, they are fully redisigned levels with air and sea sections. That's one. Another is that Danica Patrick's car is being licsensed from Hot Wheels, for unknown reasons. Tracks in this game are from the following series: Sonic (duh), Billy Hatcher, Curio Mansion, Danger Dragoon, Afterburner, Burning Rangers, Super Monkey Ball, Jet Set Radio (and JSR Future), and Samba De Amigo. So far (and I've played most tracks) there is NO track from the Wreck It Ralph movie. Sorry, no Sugar Rush. Hope this clears things up. 90.207.9.192 16:40, November 17, 2012 (UTC)

Oh, two more things I forgot to mention. There is no 'All Star Meter' - like the first game, you either get an all star move in an item box or you don't. Hey, some of you may not have seen the petition happening in the Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed thread, but here's your chance to revive Nack the Weasel! First a link to the thread (Original Post has links to various Sega Characters possible to vote for, but read the rules first)? here. Here's? a link to Nack's petition. It was originally agreed that Sonic Characters wouldn't be allowed to get any votes, but Nack is being underadvertised and not shown enough to lower his small chances he has. Hurry, it ends December 1st, and if Nack doesn't have at least 1000 unique signatures, he won't make it. He will miss his chance to come back to modern games. Now go out and tell the Sonic community. Make him return!? This is all about getting characters as DLC. The game is finished, but he can be added in as DLC.
Please spread the word around here however you can as this ends December first, as Nack needs to return. Sumo Digital (developer of the game) is hosting this and will take into account any character that is getting more than 1000 votes before December 1st. This is his chance, help him please. I told some admins also.

A eurogamer article said that Sumo Digital confirmed it months before its release, if you're bothered about not knowing if Miis are actually in the game. There's no Mii gameplay on the web at the moment, though.

- Why only Nack? Sonic's got a ton of forgotten characters and Nack had TWO games. (Fighter's Megamix doesn't oount in Bean and Bark's Case, and Mighty's appearance in the arcade game also doesn't really count because it wasn't ever ported to consoles like The Fighters/Championship was, but Ray still counts). About Xbox 360 Versions
I had a question about the Xbox 360 Version. I notice that when you finish a race in single race or Grand Prix, the character will make a victory move and speak. In world tour, the extra thing is the character speaking. My game never does that. I have an Xbox 360 Arcade, had my screen set to widescreen, and I'm even using an HDMI cable. Could any body tell me how to get this working? To learn more about this take this link for example:

1/8/13: I found how it can be used. You need to get an Xbox Live account, sign in to Xbox Live, play the game and update the game when you're given the message. Netowrk Adapter required

Two more characters announced for PC version.
Apparently there's 3 characters exclusive to the PC version.
We all know the TF2 one. Pyro, Spy, and Heavy. We finally get to hear Spy's voice. He sounds the best in the group.
One of the other characters is from Football Manager.
The final one is from Total War Shogun.
