Transformation?

I'm not sure this can really be classified as a transformation since it's the actual full form of Dark Gaia and doesn't really have a catalyst like the Chaos Emeralds. If this is considered a transformation, then shouldn't Dark Gaia itself be called a transformation since it evolves from the combination of its short-lived minions? We have Dark Gaia and we have Perfect Dark Gaia, like we have Chaos and Perfect Chaos. A transformation can be triggered by many things and is not limited to anything as mundane as a object. Dark Gaia is a character and Perfect Dark Gaia is a heighten state of Dark Gaia, like Super Sonic is a heighten state of Sonic. Also, Dark Gaia has a catalyst that triggers his transformation to this state; it reaching physical maturity - when it has not reached that catalyst, it remains at a lowered level state of being. A transformation can be triggered by many things and as long as it has something triggering it.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 18:54, June 14, 2014 (UTC)
But going with maturity, though - wouldn't Dark Gaia the boss just be a heightened state of Dark Gaia's Minions with that reasoning, therefore a transformation as well? It makes sense with Chaos and Perfect Chaos, since Chaos (0) is its base form and requires Chaos Emeralds (which brings another point entirely - should Chaos 1, 2, 4 and 6 all be considered separate transformations?). ´Technically, Dark Gaia is the aggregate of Dark Gaia's Minions rather than a heighten state of it. Dark Gaia's minions is in actually just Dark Gaia in a million pieces - as such Dark Gaia's minions are not entities in their own right but rather pieces put together to make a whole rather than a being evolving with addition. It comes down to this simplicity: Dark Gaia starts out as its base state -> a trigger for the transformation occurs (full maturity) -> Dark Gaia rises to a heighten state. Dark Gaia is Dark Gaia throughout time, but it is a metamorphosis - a transformation - that elevates it to its true state during the end of its cycle. For your second question - I think the different chaos transformations should be treated as different transformation as they are changes between forms.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 19:24, June 14, 2014 (UTC)
I guess.. I'm just comparing to most of these others listed in that template, and Dark Gaia's the unique one in that its transformation is considered its "full" form whereas the others seem to use a power source or some other discovery to be able to transform artificially. Though I suppose that means the Chaoses can be added to the appropriate section. LinkTheLefty (talk) 19:48, June 14, 2014 (UTC)
