"Mecha Sonic's Super State" is a purely descriptive name, it does not need a citation. If this other name you've provided is legit, it can replace the current name. Myself 123 16:46, December 1, 2015 (UTC)

It comes from the Dr. Eggman profile on the Sonic 4 Episode I Japanese website. I'm sure it's basically, "To fulfill the ambition to defeat Sonic, a Powered-Up Mecha Sonic arose to the challenge." (referring to the events of Knuckles' story after Sonic's, contrasting the English site which notoriously says otherwise and replaces the line with something about revising his best creations), but another opinion might not hurt. Hmmm, it's a little odd that it would mention Sonic if it's about Knuckles' part of the story. Myself 123 17:52, December 1, 2015 (UTC)
Are you sure this profile actually talk about THE Mecha Sonic and the actual situation where it assumed a Super State. From how the profile explains it, Mecha Sonic was sent to defeat Sonic which fits more with the situation where the robot fought Sonic in sky sanctuary, rather than Knuckles over the Master Emerald. Powered-up is an ambiguous term in this sentence as well, even it does not refer to the Knuckles battle, as it might just refer to that Mecha Sonic is an extra powerful robot.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 17:55, December 1, 2015 (UTC)
No, wait, I think I had my particles mixed up: that should instead read closer to, "To fulfill the ambition to defeat Sonic, powered-up mecha(s) arose to challenge Sonic." What threw me off is that Sonic is mentioned twice and the previous sentence refers to the Master Emerald, so it looked as if it was saying that the Mecha Sonic picked up where Eggman left off in that game. So essentially, replace Mechas with Badniks and it's not far off from the official translation (it still completely made up the storyline section, though).
