Hmm... If Knuckles can control the size of the Master Emerald... wouldn't it be possible that it changes size according to Knuckles' thoughts (abeit slowly at times, faster at other times)? Just a thought, but it's possible.--Akamia(Talk)(Want to see what I've been doing?) 03:54, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Origin[]
It says here it was created by gods because of Chaos Emeralds misuse. I don't recall this canon. I don't think anyone knows which came first, the Master Emerald or the chaos Emeralds, or who or what created them.--Mystic Monkey sez 13:07, July 29, 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, that sounds very iffy. We should probably remove it. -- Supermorff 13:42, July 29, 2010 (UTC)
Theory about Master Emerald and Chaos Emerald origins[]
Call me crazy, but I think this: Miles "Tails" Prower might not be 8 years old. You wonder "Why Tails?", "Why question his age?" and "How does this relates with Master Emerald?", but then I tell you: He's based on Kitsune, correct? Correct! Kitsune, depending on the source, can gain one tail every a hundred years or by achieving high degree of wisdom, having nine tails at most. According to legends, kitsune are capable of producing a jewel called "Hoshi-no-Tama" (Star Ball), which is used to store their own power. In rarest cases, they split that into many.
Why this, you may think... Come to think: What if Tails was actually way powerful, so powerful he was afraid of himself, and then sealed his powers into the Master Emerald? Then that would be his "Hoshi-no-Tama". As for how to explain the Chaos Emeralds? well, according to something I read recently, the only way to kill a kitsune is to sever their tails, which will bring them closer to mortality. This is "confirmed" against Demon Lord Ninetails in Okami, where severing his tails will down him to one tail, at which you can kill him for good. Maybe Tails himself or someone else could have cut his tails to bring him closer to being a mere mortal. And his tails could have become the Chaos Emeralds, which explains the relation between the emeralds better. And, if you count, 2 + 7 = 9. And the Master Emerald would be simply a "Hoshi-no-Tama". Also, if you notice it, the Super Form changes their color to Gold and White. Both colors are associated to Tenko Kitsune, the Celestial Foxes. - Tsukiyomaru0 (talk) 20:31, November 30, 2012 (UTC)
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2013)[]
The list of game appearances says "Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2013) (cameo)". What is this referring to? Where does the Master Emerald show up in the Sonic 2 remake? IndigoPengi (talk) 16:58, 7 June 2022 (UTC)
