Mandatory or optional?[]

A few pages like the Level up item article say this thing is mandatory, and the trivia says it doesn't need to be gotten on the PC port, I've only played the Gamecube version and I got the belt but I've never needed to use it to clear any levels. Is it really mandatory or is this a case like the Warrior Feather and Rhythem Badge? Either way one article needs updating.Pikmin theories (talk) 01:12, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
