Suggestion -- maybe we should decide for a different picture for this version of Hyper Knuckles depicting the game version and make a split article for the Archie version? Herman2000 19:23, December 25, 2009 (UTC)

Indeed. A sprite would suffice. - Shadow34

It would suffice, but I think a screenshot would be better. Glowing sprites tend to have vague edges. Still, if there's a good sprite, I'm happy to go with it. -- Supermorff 19:12, January 18, 2010 (UTC)
Super Knuckles Sprite

A screenshot would appear a little blurry. Maybe this sprite? - Shadow34

I don't think a screenshot necessarily would look blurry, but that sprite is absolutely fine. -- Supermorff 19:58, January 19, 2010 (UTC)
Well, I must say, the new animated sprite is MUCH better than the one I uploaded.--Shadow34 23:27, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to see these sources. I've got a fresh disassembly on my hands, and a tons of tools to examine every inch of the game. From what I've got, the games version looks exactly like Super Knuckles, which by that one piece of official art, maintains his regular coloring and gets an aura. Meanwhile, the comics version is the pink one.

What the game does for the glow effect is incrementally brighten Knuckles's regular colors until they're almost white, and then revert. As Knuckles's reds are already somewhat pink in tone, this makes the glow look pink. However, instead of starting with a pink, as Super Sonic starts with a yellow, Knuckles goes right back to his base reds. As such, the primary color is red, just as Tails is orange and Sonic's is yellow.

But if you've got sources for the game, then this is news to me. I'd like to see those, please.Aquaslash 23:57, August 20, 2010 (UTC)

It was stated on Sonic Retro, Sonic Fanon WIkia, the SEGA website, Wikipedia, and Sonic Channel that Super/ Hyper Knuckles will flash from hot pink and back to his default red.Sonic & Scrab Master Kaze no Kizu! 00:04, August 21, 2010 (UTC)

I'd like links to the Sonic Channel and Sega Websites please. As far as I'm aware, No transformation of Knuckles has been mentioned on either. Futhermore, Wikipedia is a hot mess, and shouldn't be trusted for anything fictional. Plus that other site is called Sonic Fanon Wikia. Nuff said. Lastly, Retro shouldn't say that, as I just fixed that yesterday (right after this place actually), and then I went through the trouble of finding a comic cover that WASN'T hue shifted.

In any case, while this is being settled, what Wikipedia IS good for is color references. I looked those up while editing. The glow is not "hot pink" it's just...pink. No additives or anything. Aquaslash 00:11, August 21, 2010 (UTC)

This is getting tiresome. Get someone else in this conversation.Sonic & Scrab Master Kaze no Kizu! 00:28, August 21, 2010 (UTC)

Seriously bro, that was a disappointing response. Those links would have changed everything. *shrugs* Also good lord, this thing is blowing up my inbox X_XAquaslash 00:33, August 21, 2010 (UTC)

I agree with Scrab. It is hot pink. AdmiralLevi.Signiture BAdmiralLevi. Salute B 00:46, August 21, 2010 (UTC)

Doesn't look hot pink to me. Knuckles' regular colour in Sonic 3 is hot pink. This looks a bit paler. -- Supermorff 10:16, August 21, 2010 (UTC)

In truth, I don't know what hot pink looks like. It just looks like a different kind of pink.Sonic & Scrab Master Kaze no Kizu! 21:39, August 21, 2010 (UTC)
