Bomb = Tails[]

One thing I've noticed about Bomb is that his feet are very similar to Tails' shoes, I also noticed that their walking animations are very similar. I think this shows that Bomb was modelled after Tails. Myself 123 18:32, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, back when the game was new, there were rumor that Heavy was actually Sonic and Bomb was Tails in disguise. however, Tails does not have the ability to blow himself up, so that obviously is not true. Sonictoast 20:32, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah but I was thinking that Bomb's sprites were modelled after, or edited from, Tails' in a manner similar to Sonic and Mighty. Myself 123 20:38, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

Shouldn't these two have different pages?[]

I'm all in favour of separating. Also willing to have the articles just called Heavy and Bomb (although there's also a Bomb badnik, so a qualifier may be needed). -- Supermorff (talk) 20:45, January 5, 2013 (UTC)

Well, the manual doesn't give them the title "Mechanic", it called Heavy "Heavy the Mechanic" but just calls Bomb, Bomb. I think we should go with Bomb (Chaotix) as the name for Bomb's article. Myself 123 20:56, January 5, 2013 (UTC)

Well, I agree that we should split up the article. Articles about two characters doesn't add upUltrasonic9000 (talk) 20:59, January 5, 2013 (UTC)

Per Myself. Well, that came out wrong... Twinkle Snow Unleash Christmas 2013 21:05, January 5, 2013 (UTC)
I think the page should stay,They are technichally a duo LuffyNaruto The Greatest Ninja Pirate Ever 21:09, January 5, 2013 (UTC)
By that logic, Sonic and Tails should have one page. Twinkle Snow Unleash Christmas 2013 21:21, January 5, 2013 (UTC)
You've got me there LuffyNaruto The Greatest Ninja Pirate Ever 14:27, January 6, 2013 (UTC)
As Splash said, the two don't actually pair up in game without cheats anyway. Myself 123 17:33, January 6, 2013 (UTC)

Change the name of the article[]

Why is it called Heavy the Robot? I'm pretty sure it's Heavy the Mechanic. That's how it is in the game.

Sperglord Lava (talk) 21:47, August 10, 2014 (UTC)

I don't believe Heavy or Bomb are referred to by name in the game, "Heavy the Robot" comes from manual. Myself 123 21:53, August 10, 2014 (UTC)

Yes they are! It only appears if you use the Action Replay codes though because you wouldn't see them in the character select normally, which is the only time their full names are shown. Bomb is supposed to be Bomb the Mechanic, too. Why do you think Robotnik calls them his "Mechanix" or whatever? Manuals have a lot of errors typically. Like Amy Rose accidentally being called Sally Acorn in the Sonic CD manual.

Sperglord Lava (talk) 23:24, August 10, 2014 (UTC)

Key phrase, "Action Replay" the player was obviously not meant to see that, there is no legitimate way to select them on that character select screen. The manual is legit, so we should go by that. Also, Amy Rose wasn't accidentally named Sally Acorn, she was referred to as Princess Sally purposely to plug in the recent cartoon. Myself 123 23:35, August 10, 2014 (UTC)

They weren't trying to hide the Mechanic part of them. The way I see it, they probably thought it was retarded to allow them to be selected because players would be expecting them to have some cool ability like the other characters, but all they do is jump and they're weak. I'm sure if they were selectable, then Mechanic would still be at the end of their names. Plus, there's still the fact Robotnik officially calls them his "Mechanix", right? They probably had Heavy the Robot in the manual because it was either a lazy error where the writer did know that it wasn't just "the robot", or maybe they made it simpler that way for little kids who were reading the manual.

Sperglord Lava (talk) 00:08, August 11, 2014 (UTC)

Regardless, the only official material given to us calls him "Heavy the Robot" and that's what we should stick with. Also, please don't use the word "retarded" other users have been offended by it in the past. Myself 123 00:12, August 11, 2014 (UTC)
