  • I'm for the merge. We need to make sure this wiki isn't too complex--Milotheechidna 21:36, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
  • Badnik is just another name for Robotnik's Robots or Eggman's Robots. Why this isn't merged already? CookiePinguy 17:22, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
  • I'm also for the merge. This page is redundant and needs to be removed. I'm sure most of the information is already on the Eggman's robots page.Rogue General 21:00, June 23, 2010 (UTC)

I'm against it. In fact, I think this page needs expanding. Perhaps a list of the Badniks and what games they appear in?--Jcfreak16 01:26, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

You mean... pretty much exactly what we have on Eggman's robots? -- Supermorff 20:27, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
Oh, yeah that'll work. Then by all means, merge away. --Jcfreak16 03:47, October 17, 2009 (UTC)

Links in this page.
Most should be removed. We don't honestly need links for every trivial thing such as fictional, 1999, Japanese. They don't serve any real purpose and are more of an eye sore than useful link.

Ergh. Yet again... It gets on my nerves how some people are so insistent on Capitalizing Every Word For No Reason. "Robots" is neither a proper noun nor part of a name. I'd like to change the title. THE REFLEX dancing on the valentine 18:30, January 30, 2013 (UTC)

Er...change it, IMO. Though you might want to wait for another opinion before you do. Twinkle Snow Unleash Christmas 201318:34, January 30, 2013 (UTC)

Please excuse typos, I spell phonetically more than I do from memory.

The word "Robots" is capitalized because it is part of the pages title.

Titles capitalize everything besides particle words (Had to look that group up, why was that never covered in Grade school or Highschool?) and a few others. All verbs nouns etc. are capitalized when in a title. Of course this is rule is also the cause of people Capitalizing Every Word due to the reason behind this rule being explained as titles needing the extra capitols to be more eye catching. Some people want Certain Words to be more eye catching than others, causing them to unwittingly capitalize Certain Words that they want the reader to pay attention to.

That is probably what you were talking about but there is no mistake in the title. If the words are capitolized outside of their use as a title then feel free to change it. But the title itself contains no errors.Neko Vira (talk) 10:13, February 1, 2013 (UTC)

No, we don't use title case for page names. Generally we don't. Solace, feel free to change. -- Supermorff (talk) 21:00, February 1, 2013 (UTC)

I'm unable to move the page because "Eggman's robots" (with a lowercase r) already exists as a redirect. Looking through the history, this page was initially created with the correct title, but someone changed it to a capital R. I didn't think that would prevent me from moving it back, though. Could someone help? THE REFLEX dancing on the valentine 09:59, February 2, 2013 (UTC)

Eggman's robots to Badniks? Edit

GIven that Eggman calls his robot's Badniks in Sonic Lost World and that the Egg Pawn is shown to be animal-powered as well, thus breaking down the distinct differences between early and late enemies, should we consider changing the article name "Eggman's Robots" to "Badniks"Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 17:53, November 7, 2013 (UTC)

I'm in favor of this. I think someone promoted "Eggman's robots" because the Badnik term is a remnant of ye olde Robotonik days, but Sega's started using the term in significant capacity again. I think only Tails vaguely used the term in Sonic Heroes, but I don't think that was enough to say it completely overwrote any and all instances of Badnik. Besides, Badnik has the distinction of being considered...well, an actual unique proper noun. LinkTheLefty (talk) 19:37, December 13, 2013 (UTC)

I'll throw in my support, if you want it. -- Shadowunleashed13 (talk) 19:40, December 13, 2013 (UTC)

That is very appreciated.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 15:36, December 28, 2013 (UTC)

Badniks are "Robotized" Animals? Edit

So, according to the Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball manual, the process that Badniks are "robotized" animals (see here on pg. 7). Considering that it is spelled differently from Roboticization and that the robots in these games are the classical Badniks, that would mean that "robotization" is the term for the Badnik producing process. Would that mean that we have to make an article like Roboticization? Also, on the other hand, Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball is a game pretty outside the Sega "canon" due to the SatAM characters in it, so can we even use a term for the main series? That is a hard call to make.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 17:16, January 1, 2016 (UTC)

I wouldn't count it because of the SatAM similarities. Myself 123 17:22, January 1, 2016 (UTC)
Other than the name?Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 17:26, January 1, 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, because of the characters and Robotnik's design in the game. Plus, there might not have been any official spelling of roboticization at the time. Myself 123 17:30, January 1, 2016 (UTC)
