Description[]

Tails' Lab is a yellow-orange, dome shaped area that takes the appearance of Tails' head. White windows can be seen in the places of where Tails' eyes would be and it has a gray door to go with it. Tails' Lab even features Tails' signature tufts of hair and ears as roof decorations.

History[]

Classic Era[]

Fang the Hunter miniseries[]

Shortly after trying to attack the disappearing ship, Sonic and Tails head to his lab where while tails invented a tracker sonic quickly gets bored wanting some action but before that Tails had to install the tracker to the tornado.[1]

Modern Era[]

Past[]

At some point in the past, Miles "Tails" Prower set up his lab in Emerald Town. Here, he stored his mech, the Cyclone, in the garage for safekeeping.[2][3]

The Last Minute[]

Tails arrived to his lab in Emerald Town along with Tangle the Lemur and Whisper the Wolf. He soon watched in shock as Dr. Eggman used the Faceship to dump a large batch of the Metal Virus into the neighboring Central City. Tails tried to change plans but was told by Whisper and Tangle to stay at his lab. One hour later, Tails was researching for a cure while hiding from the Zombots outside his lab. He soon got a contact from Sonic, who told him he was at the outskirts of Barricade Town. After explaining how well he got the data from his bio-scanner and the situation at Central City, Tails suggested that the hedgehog to kept running so he can find a cure for the virus. The fox cub called next Amy at Restoration HQ about his progress in his lab. He then explained to her that he will call for updates from Tangle and Whisper after she asked about sending Rescue Shuttles. Tails then contacted Tangle, who told him that she and Whisper managed to save a few civilians and guided them to the docks.[3]

Afterwards, the fox cub focused to research on the Metal Virus. After learning about the structure of the virus, he wondered how Sonic's speed could burn it down and how to apply this to others, not wanting to risk anything with the cure's possible ineffectiveness. Tails got the idea to go outside of his lab to retrieve a sample of the Metal Virus on the road and returned to his lab with glee. Soon after, Tails received a call from Tangle, who asked the fox cub about the cure. He confirmed to her that he had almost completed research on it and would begin helping the girls out soon. Tails then began to upload the data to Restoration HQ's server, only for his computer to suddenly shut down. Unbeknownst to him, a Zombot Cheese and Chocola were busy destroying the lab's main power supply outside. Tails tried not to panic and removed the server blades to use them at the HQ instead. The fox cub was interrupted by a Zombot who ripped into the entrance of the lab and knocked the server blades to the ground, destroying them. Tails was then forced to run to his garage with Zombots in pursuit. He used his Cyclone to emerge from the lab, ramming into several Zombots.[3]

Zeti Hunt![]

To deal with the Deadly Six, Tails visited his lab to prepare his Zeti Zappers and Zeti Launcher, inventions of which he presented to Jewel, Sonic and the Chaotix over video communication as they prepared for the Deadly Six's next appearance. As Restoration HQ came under attack by the Deadly Six, however, Tails left his lab with his inventions to head there in the Tornado.[4]

Trial by Fire[]

Soon after, with some help from Sonic and Tails, Amy would retrieve some (prototype) camping gear from Tails' Lab that she needed for a trip. Sonic considered coming with her until Tails reminded him that he had promised to play a video game with him. Sonic thus stayed with Tails in the lab, playing video games with him well into the evening.[5]

Imposter Syndrome[]

Days later, Dr. Starline came to Tails' Lab and attempted to covertly break into it. However, he was unable to open the reinforced door that Tails had installed after the lab had been compromised by Zombots. Even Kit, who met up with Starline at the lab with Surge, could not open the lab's door with his hydro-coil tails. Left with no other option to enter the lab without causing a scene and with their time up, Starline and his lackeys withdrew from Tails' Lab.[6]

Overpowered[]

A day after their escape from Eggperial City, Sonic, Tails, and Belle came to Tails' Lab with Kit in tow. There, Belle tried to fix Motobud while Tails and Kit patched up Sonic's injured leg, after which Sonic remorsefully told Kit about Surge's and Starline's fates. In reality, Surge was still alive and on a rampage in Central City. Notified of the chaos by Jewel, Sonic and Tails went to deal with Surge. Belle stayed behind to watch over a despondent Kit, but as she followed the situation via news broadcast, Kit's mental conditioning kicked in and he decided to go help Sonic. Belle attempted to stop the fennec, only for him to drop a hanging platform on her and leave anyhow.[7]

Endless Summer[]

Sonic visited Tails behind his lab and invited the fox to come hang out with to enjoy the good weather. However, Tails was busy modifying the Tornado and asked Sonic to check if Restoration HQ's metal shop has a part he is missing. Sonic got the part and quickly went back to Restoration HQ after giving Tails the part.[8]

Phantom Riders[]

Sonic and Tails head to Tails' Lab to get some rest after a long and exhausting day. However, they notice the door is already cracked open, leading Sonic to wonder if someone broke in. His suspicions are confirmed when Tails notices the missing generator core, where the yellow Chaos Emerald once was. The Chaos Emerald is seen hovering over a small stand in a strange, dark room, serving as the only source of light within it.[9]
