TMS Entertainment Co., Ltd. (株式会社トムス・エンタテインメント Kabushiki gaisha Tomusu Entateinmento?), formerly known as Tokyo Movie Shinsha (東京ムービー新社 Tōkyō Mūbī Shinsha?), and also known as Tokyo Movie or TMS-Kyokuichi, is a Japanese animation studio founded in October 1946. It is owned by parent company Sega Sammy Holdings, and Marza Animation Planet is one of its subsidiaries.

TMS Entertainment is one of the oldest and most famous anime studios in Japan, and has produced animation for the Sonic the Hedgehog series and its spin-offs. It has also produced numerous anime series broadcasts in other countries, such as France, th United States, and Italy. While the company is currently using the name "TMS Entertainment, Ltd.", the anime studio itself is called Tokyo Movie (東京 ム ー ビ ー Tōkyō Mūbī?). The company also owns Telecom Animation Film, which often collaborates in animation production field with TMS. The company is best known among American animation fans for its high quality works in comparison to other studios.

Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog

Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog is an American animated television series produced by DiC Entertainment that was first broadcasted on syndication in September 1993, and later on Toon Disney in 1998. TMS animated five episodes and the title animation.

Sonic the Animation

Sonic the Animation is a minute and a half-length animated short created for theme parks like Sega World Japan. It was later featured in the compilation game Sonic Jam. The short was animated by TMS Entertainment (at the time known as Tokyo Movie Shinsha) using hand-drawn 2D characters accompanied by mostly 3D computer-generated environments.

Sonic X

Sonic X is an anime series loosely based on the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series. It was animated and produced in Japan by TMS in partnership with Sega and Sonic Team. It was first broadcasted in Japan in April 2003 by TV Tokyo. During that same year, 4Kids Entertainment obtained the license to localize and broadcast the show in America.
