Swap Chao is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Chao that can increase their bonded individual's rewards.

Appearance

Swap Chao have yellow, pudding-like bodies with round, waterdrop-like heads. They also have large eyes, no noses or mouths, round torsos that are smaller than their heads, smooth feet with no legs, and arms with no visible hands. In addition, neither their arms nor feet have digits. They also have a floating cyan dot above their heads, cyan tipped arms, feet, and head points, short and round tails, and a small set of wings on their backs.

Overview

In Sonic Speed Simulator, Swap Chao is a limited collectible pet of the "Legendary" rarity. It could be purchased at a display model near the starting point in Green Hill for 499 Robux on 28 May 2022. Alternatively, the player could buy five of them at once for 1,749 Robux at a display model in the same world. However, the option to purchase them was removed approximately 48 hours afterwards.

In gameplay, Swap Chao can be equipped to the playable character, allowing them to fly by the side of the playable character as they move around. In addition, when equipped, Swap Chao will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb and additional Rings whenever they pick up a single Ring. The player can as well level up Swap Chao for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Swap Chao will improve its reward-granting attributes. Additionally, the player can fuse a Swap Chao by collecting five Swap Chao, leveling all of them up to maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Fusing a Swap Chao will result in a singular fused Chao at level 1.

Powers and abilities

Swap Chao are capable of flight. In addition, they possess the power to increase the rewards granted to the person they have bonded with.
