Super Shadow is a transformation that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is the Super form of Shadow the Hedgehog, achieved by absorbing the power of the Chaos Emeralds.
History[]
Shadow first reached this transformation when he allied himself with Super Sonic to stop the Biolizard from destroying Mobius with the Space Colony ARK.[1] He took this form again when the Bem rescued him from the previously mentioned incident and provided him with enough power in order to combat the approaching Xorda. Super Shadow proved unprepared for the Xorda attack however and was sent plummeting towards Mobius.[2]

Shadow went on to achieve his super transformation once again. However this time he was forced into it in a device of A.D.A.M.'s creation. In his super form, his enhanced Chaos Control assisted in pulling all of the Chaos Emeralds in the universe towards Mobius to use their incredible powers. After being released from captivity by Dr. Eggman, Super Shadow used his Chaos Control to aid Turbo Tails and sent all of the Chaos Emeralds into the Zone of Silence, thus ending A.D.A.M.'s plans.[3]
Powers and abilities[]

As Super Shadow, Shadow's innate talents are multiplied many times over, giving him highly increased speed, strength and reflexes. Like the traditional Super-State, Shadow gains new abilities too, including high-speed flight and virtual invulnerability to harm and can fire energy beams from his hands.
As Super Shadow, Shadow's link to the Chaos Force is greatly enhanced, giving him unlimited and highly potent Chaos Powers. With his empowered Chaos Control, he can teleport objects as large as the ARK back into orbit (With Super Sonic's aid) and open portals between Zones.[1][3]
